Abstract:
A sensor may be automatically calibrated during manufacture by providing a sensor processing unit having an integrated sensor, performing a check to determine if the integrated sensor has been previously calibrated upon a reset. When it has been determined the integrated sensor has not been previously calibrated, an automated calibration pattern may be imparted to the sensor so that a calibration parameter is determined.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed for coordinating applications by detecting a touch input and a related touch input a device locations associated with the applications, one of which is a user authentication application. A parameter may be established with the user authentication application so that the other application runs with the at least one parameter.
Abstract:
A security system for a building comprises a pressure sensor and a computer system communicatively coupled with the pressure system. The pressure sensor coupled to a movable portion of a window in the building. The computer system is configured to: receive a first pressure measurement from the pressure sensor; compare the first pressure measurement to a reference pressure measurement; and based on the comparison, detect that the movable portion of the window has moved.
Abstract:
A pressure sensor of a mobile device may be corrected by receiving reference pressure information from an associated device. The correction using differential pressure measurements may be influenced by one or more determined condition characteristics.

Abstract:
A portable device is provided having a motion sensor and an engagement sensor. A determination may be made whether the portable device is engaged with the platform. The data being output by the sensor may be used accordingly.

Abstract:
A system includes a wearable device connected to a user and a smart media in remote communication with the wearable device. The wearable device is operable to track movement of the user and transmit the track movement information to the smart media. The smart media is operable to receive the track movement information and to use the received track movement information in an independent application.
Abstract:
A hearable comprises at least one microphone coupled with a wearable structure and a sensor processing unit disposed within the wearable structure and coupled with the microphone. A portion of the wearable structure is configured to be disposed within a user's ear. The sensor processing unit acquires audio data from the at least one microphone and head motion data from at least one motion sensor of the sensor processing unit. The head motion data describes motions of the user's head and comprises cranium motion data and mandible motion data. The sensor processing unit separates the mandible motion data from the head motion data, synchronizes the mandible motion data and the audio data into a synchronized data stream; classifies an activity of the head during a portion of the synchronized data stream; and generates a health indicator for the user based on the activity and the synchronized data stream.
Abstract:
A synchronization system for an acoustic signal-based and inertial signal-based positioning system is provided that generates a magnetic field as a synchronization signal. The modulated magnetic synchronization signal is transmitted by a transmitter of the positioning system and received by the receiver of the positioning system. The receiver may make an acoustic position determination for the transmitter based on a received modulated synchronization signal and may make an inertial position determination for the transmitter based on the received inertial signal, such that the acoustic position determination and the inertial position determination are fused.
