摘要: A method for adapting a Bayesian network includes determining a set of parameters for the Bayesian network, for example, initial parameters, and then updating the parameters in response to a set of observation data using an adaptive learning rate. The adaptive learning rate responds to any changes in the underlying modeled environment using minimal observation data.

摘要: A method for automated detection of a real IT system problem may include obtaining monitor measurements of metrics associated with activities of a plurality of configuration items of the IT system. The method may also include detecting anomalies in the monitor measurements. The method may further include grouping concurrent anomalies of the detected anomalies corresponding to configuration items of the plurality of configuration items which are topologically linked to be regarded as a system anomaly. The method may further include calculating a significance score for the system anomaly, and determining that the system anomaly relates to a real system problem based on the calculated significance score.

摘要: A method is described that involves creating a private key and a public key cryptographic key pair, generating a unique and random identifier for a voter's vote and accepting an election vote from said voter. The vote and identifier are electronically signed with the private key to create a digital signature. The vote and identifier are provided in a human readable format to the voter. The digital signature is provided to the voter. The method further involves generating a second unique and random identifier for a second voter's vote and accepting a second election vote from the second voter. The second vote and identifier are electronically signed with the private key to create a second digital signature. The second vote and second identifier are provided in a human readable format to the second voter. The second digital signature is provided to the second voter. The public key is published on an internet. Information is publicly provided on the internet that associates together: (i) the voter's vote in a human readable format, (ii) the identifier in a human readable format, and (iii) the digital signature. The voter's vote is verifiable with the digital signature and the public key. Information is publicly provided on the internet that associates together: (iv) the second voter's vote in a human readable format, (v) the second identifier in a human readable format, and (vi) the second digital signature. The second voter's vote is verifiable with the second digital signature and the public key. The method includes, in response to receiving a request from the internet containing the identifier, providing (i), (ii) and (iii) above through an internet communication. The method also includes in response to receiving a second request from the internet containing the second identifier, providing (iv), (v) and (vi) above through a second internet communication.

摘要: This invention provides for a chamber and system designed for use in assaying drug effects on heart rate. The chamber consists of a series of wells, each 3 mm by 3 mm in inner diameter. Cardiac myocytes disaggregated from neonatal animals are plated onto the bottom of each well and grown under standard tissue culture conditions. The chamber holds from 24-96 such wells. When drugs are to be assayed, the cells in each well are loaded with a calcium sensitive dye and the beating rate in each is monitored with a photodiode. Drug is added in graded concentrations to each well, and equilibrated and effects on rate are observed. This construct permits use of a cell based bioassay for the study of drugs or agents that may alter cardiac rate. This invention can be used in high throughput screening of drugs to evaluate/predict their effects on cardiac rate and rhythm. Further provided for by this invention is a A vector which comprises a compound which encode an ion channel.

摘要: Methods and systems of aligning annotation of fields of documents are provided. Training information that includes first measurement information pertaining to features of each of a plurality of fields associated with training clusters for documents of a document type is accessed. A first training cluster is annotated with a first name and the second training cluster is annotated with a second name. An electronic classification model is generated based on the training information. Second measurement information for features of fields associated with new clusters of a new document is accessed. Each of the new clusters is automatically annotated based on the second measurement information using the classification model. For example, a first new cluster that has fields of the first field type is annotated with the first name and a second new cluster that has fields of the second field type is annotated with the second name.

摘要: A method and system comprise abstracting configuration items (CI) in at least a first anomaly and a second anomaly based on type of CI. Further, CIs are matched of a common type between the first and second anomalies based on a cost function. Additionally, a similarity score is computed for the first and second anomalies based, at least in part, on the cost function of the matched CI's and based on topology of the first and second anomalies.
