    Abstract: An organic EL display panel including: a substrate; banks linearly extending along one direction above the substrate; pixel electrodes spaced away from one another along the one direction, in each of first and second spaces among spaces defined by the banks; a light-emitting layer covering each pixel electrode in each of the first and second spaces; and a sub-bank crossing the one direction at least in the first space, and when defining each light-emitting layer portion covering a pixel electrode as a light-emitting portion and defining each area between light-emitting portions adjacent in the one direction as a non-light-emitting portion, a positive integer N exists for which the following holds true: among Nth non-light-emitting portions counting from one side along the one direction, the Nth non-light-emitting portion in the first space has the sub-bank and the Nth non-light-emitting portion in the second space does not have the sub-bank.

    Abstract: An organic electroluminescence (EL) display panel includes a multi-layered wiring laminate including: a first part on which an organic EL element array is disposed and in which a first portion of a resin insulating layer is present, the resin insulating layer being a highest layer among insulating layers; a second part surrounding the first part in plan view and in which a second portion of the resin insulating layer having a bank-shape is present; and a third part disposed between the first part and the second part in plan view and having a shape of a circumferential groove in which the resin insulating layer is not present. In the third part, wiring is on an inorganic insulating layer that is lower by a layer than the resin insulating layer. The wiring on the inorganic insulating layer is spaced away from the second portion of the resin insulating layer.

    Abstract: A display unit includes a substrate, a first electrode, a second electrode, an organic layer, and an auxiliary electrically-conductive layer. The substrate includes a pixel region including a plurality of pixels and a peripheral region outside the pixel region. The first electrode is provided for each of the plurality of pixels in the pixel region on the substrate. The second electrode is opposed to the first electrode, and is provided common for the plurality of pixels. The organic layer is provided between the second electrode and the first electrode, and includes a light-emitting layer. The auxiliary electrically-conductive layer includes an organic electrically-conductive material, and the auxiliary electrically-conductive layer is disposed in the pixel region on the substrate and is electrically coupled to the second electrode.

    Abstract: An organic EL element including: a TFT substrate having a TAOS-TFT; and an organic EL unit having a lower electrode. The lower electrode includes an aluminum containing metal layer, a transition metal containing oxide layer disposed between the aluminum containing metal layer and the TFT substrate, and an aluminum containing oxide layer disposed between the aluminum containing metal layer and the transition metal containing oxide layer and in contact with both the aluminum containing metal layer and the transition metal containing oxide layer. The aluminum containing oxide layer contains aluminum oxide. The transition metal containing oxide layer contains tungsten oxide and has a density of 6.5 g/cm3 or more.
