    Abstract: A driving force distribution apparatus includes a hollow shaft configured to rotate together with a ring gear, a first output shaft having a shaft portion inserted through the hollow shaft, a second output shaft arranged coaxially with the first output shaft, and a driving force transmission mechanism configured such that a driving force transmitted to the hollow shaft is transmitted to the first and second output shafts. A case member has a lubricating oil introduction chamber into which lubricating oil stirred up by the ring gear is introduced. The lubricating oil is supplied from the lubricating oil introduction chamber to the driving force transmission mechanism via a space between the hollow shaft and the shaft portion of the first output shaft. The lubricating oil introduction chamber is formed between the hollow shaft and a bearing mechanism that supports one end of the first output shaft.

    Abstract: A four-wheel drive vehicle includes a friction clutch that transmits a driving force to rear wheels, a hydraulic circuit including a control valve that reduces a pressure of hydraulic oil discharged from a hydraulic pump down to a control pressure corresponding to a control current, and the cylinder and a piston that receives the oil from hydraulic circuit the to press the friction clutch. In the hydraulic circuit, a ratio of an change amount in a feeding pressure to the cylinder to an change amount in the control current, when the feeding pressure to the cylinder is lower than a predetermined value, is lower than when the feeding pressure applied to the cylinder is equal to or higher than the predetermined value. The control apparatus controls a pressure of the hydraulic oil fed to the cylinder lower than the predetermined value when switching the driving state.

    Abstract: A vehicle drive device includes: an input shaft that receives a driving force of a driving source and that is provided with a first gear; an intermediate shaft that is provided with a second gear meshing with the first gear and a third gear located next to the second gear in a direction of a rotation axis and that is disposed in such a manner that the intermediate shaft is allowed to move in the direction of the rotation axis; an output shaft that is provided with a fourth gear meshing with the third gear; a first gear pair including the first and second gears; and a second gear pair including the third and fourth gears. One of the first gear pair and the second gear pair includes a helical gear, and the other of the first gear pair and the second gear pair includes a double helical gear.

    Abstract: A driving force transmitting apparatus is provided which enables rotational resistance of rotating members to be suppressed while sufficiently supplying lubricant to a friction clutch. A driving force transmitting apparatus includes a clutch drum having a cylindrical portion, an inner shaft having an end housed in the clutch drum, a friction clutch having outer clutch plates that rotate along with the clutch drum and inner clutch plates that rotate along with the inner shaft, a piston that presses the friction clutch, and a housing in which a first housing chamber housing the friction clutch is formed and in which a storage chamber storing lubricant scooped up by rotation of the clutch drum is also formed. The lubricant stored in the storage chamber returns to the first housing chamber through an inner circulation path leading to inside the clutch drum and an outer circulation path leading to outside the clutch drum.
