Abstract:
A method includes creating a plurality of function blocks. The function blocks are defined by at least one user. The method also includes identifying a plurality of data flows between the function blocks. Each data flow includes at least one of: a flow of data from an output of one of the function blocks and a flow of data into an input of one of the function blocks. The method further includes identifying at least one value for at least one property of one or more of the function blocks. The function blocks, data flows, and at least one property value define a serial interface protocol for communicating over a serial interface. The data flows may be identified by presenting symbols representing the function blocks to the at least one user via a graphical user interface and allowing the at least one user to link inputs and outputs of the symbols.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method for detecting non-negligible election fraud using a computer program product that includes a fraud detection server comprising a processor and a database. The method may include the steps of receiving election results data, aggregating the election results data into a plurality of subsets, calculating a respective hypergeometric cumulative distribution function (CDF) score to define an outlier impact magnitude for each of the plurality of subsets, and ranking the plurality of subsets using the respective hypergeometric CDF score for each of the plurality of subsets. The resultant ranking may define an audit priority for each of the precincts involved in an election of interest. An election report including the audit priority may be displayed to an election stakeholder.
Abstract:
A wireless field device for use in an industrial process includes input/output terminals configured to couple to a process interface element. A discrete input/output channel is configured to receive a discrete input from the process interface element through the input/output terminals when configured as a discrete input channel. The discrete input/output channel is further configured to provide a discrete output to the process interface element through the input/output terminals when the discrete input/output channel is configured as discrete output channel. Wireless communication circuitry is configured to transmit and receive information. A controller communicates information through the wireless communication circuitry and operates in accordance with configuration information to configure the input/output channel as an input channel when the input/output terminals are connected to a discrete process variable sensor, and further configure the discrete input/output channel as a discrete output channel when the input/output terminals are coupled to a discrete control element.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a fitment, for use on a flexible container, comprising a spout member having a first end and a second end and defining a passageway between the two and a plug member which is sized to be received in the passageway. The plug member also has a leading end that lies in sealing engagement with the first end of the spout member when the plug member is received in the passageway.
Abstract:
A door system for an aircraft has a flight deck door hingely coupled to a flight deck bulkhead. A lavatory is adjacent to the flight deck bulkhead and formed of a lavatory bulkhead. A lavatory door is coupled to the lavatory bulkhead. A latching mechanism is attached to the flight deck door. The latching mechanism in a first position engages the flight deck bulkhead and in a second position engages the lavatory bulkhead.
Abstract:
Collision deterrence system including signaling apparatus and method collision having frequency diversity, amplitude diversity, duty cycle diversity, and modal diversity and capable of being perceived by the following vehicle operator as being indicative of a lead vehicle motive state. The apparatus produces distinctive visual and aural signals constituting a characteristic hazard alert, representative of a lead vehicle motive state. The method generates an unambiguous signal representative of a predetermined hazard in the vehicle travel path. A collision deterrence diversity signaling method provides unique visual and audible signals directed toward a following vehicle operator, eliciting a REC avoidance response.
Abstract:
A collar for a dispensing connector and a fitment assembly are disclosed. The connector collar engages a valved fitment for a container for holding and dispensing fluid. The fitment includes a spout connected to the container and a sliding internal valve body and an external valve body securely positioned within the spout. The connector collar has a fitment end mateable with the fitment so as to compress the top edge of the external valve body so as to form a seal between the external valve body and the dispensing connector.
Abstract:
An improved piercing fitment assembly for mounting to a flexible container is provided, whereby the contents of the container are dispensed by piercing a pierceable portion of a cap using a fluid transfer device. The piercing fitment assembly is easy to use as a relatively minimal amount of force is required for piercing and establishing fluid transfer. It also has a locking system which locks the fluid transfer device into a dispensing state and also forms a reliable seal between the cap and the fluid transfer device which minimizes the risk of unwanted spillage. The fitment assembly comprises: a spout connected in fluid communication to the container; a cap having a pierceable portion sealing an end of the spout and a fluid transfer device having a leading tooth to initiate piercing of the pierceable portion of the cap.
