摘要： A fitting for affixing to a mouth portion of a receiving container and for receiving a drinking straw comprises a tubular body including a side wall having an inner surface and an outer surface, an open bottom end and a closed top end formed by a top wall having a frangible region therein configured to permit passage of the drinking straw therethrough. A seal layer is coupled to the closed top end and is configured to overlap the frangible region. The fitting may also be mounted onto a container body including a container side wall, an integral container bottom wall and an open top end defined by an open mouth portion. A drinking straw may be releasably coupled to the container body.

摘要： An improved piercing fitment assembly for mounting to a flexible container is provided, whereby the contents of the container are dispensed by piercing a pierceable portion of a cap using a fluid transfer device. The piercing fitment assembly is easy to use as a relatively minimal amount of force is required for piercing and establishing fluid transfer. It also has a locking system which locks the fluid transfer device into a dispensing state and also forms a reliable seal between the cap and the fluid transfer device which minimizes the risk of unwanted spillage. The fitment assembly comprises: a spout connected in fluid communication to the container; a cap having a pierceable portion sealing an end of the spout and a fluid transfer device having a leading tooth to initiate piercing of the pierceable portion of the cap.

The lid includes a primary panel defining a top surface, a skirt configured to couple with the container, and a stop positioned adjacent the top surface of the primary panel. The lid defines an outermost perimeter, and a footprint of the lid is defined within the outermost perimeter. The lever is rotably coupled with the lid to rotate relative to the lid between a use position and a storage position. When the lever is in the storage position, the lever is maintained substantially within the footprint of the lid. When the lever is in the use position, the lever extends outwardly beyond the outermost perimeter of the lid contacting the stop of the lid such that force applied to lever is transferred to the lid via the stop.
