    摘要: A method for removing soot particles from an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, especially of a diesel engine, includes feeding the exhaust gas through a collecting element through which the exhaust gas can pass freely but which is provided with a plurality of deflections and/or zones of swirl and calming or stabilization. At least a proportion of the particles are held or swirled around in the collecting element until there is a sufficient probability of reaction with nitrogen dioxide and a majority of the collected particles have been removed. A collecting element has flow channels through which the exhaust gas can pass freely. However, the flow channels are configured in such a way as to form deflections or zones of swirl and calming or stabilization. A system having the collecting element is also provided.

    摘要: A method for regenerating an open particle separator includes at least determining at least one parameter, as a characteristic variable of a regeneration capability of the open particle separator. The at least one parameter is compared with a first threshold value. At least one portion of a comparison period during which the parameter has reached the first threshold value is determined. The portion is compared with a first minimum portion corresponding to a minimum regeneration time in the comparison time period. Measures are initiated to influence the parameter so that the parameter lies at least according to the first minimum portion and the first threshold value is reached and/or the open particle separator is regenerated. A motor vehicle having at least one open particle separator is also provided.

The device includes sheet metal foils forming channels and being in electrical contact with a housing. The housing has a terminal for connection to a voltage source, a plurality of contact points disposed remotely from the terminal for contacting the sheet metal foils and a respective contact conductor between the terminal and each contact point. The contact conductors have the same electrical resistance. A motor vehicle having at least one such device is also provided.
