摘要: Methods and systems for predicting at least one temperature along a fluid flow path of a fluid flow system having a heater disposed in the fluid flow path are provided. In one example, a method includes: obtaining at least one input, wherein the at least one input includes a setpoint, a mass flow rate, an inlet temperature, or a combination thereof; calculating a temperature associated with the heater based on a predefined model and the at least one input; and setting a value of the at least one temperature along the fluid flow path to the temperature of the heater.

摘要: A catalyst support for induction heating includes: a honeycomb structure including a pillar shaped honeycomb structure portion having: an outer peripheral wall; and a partition wall disposed on an inner side of the outer peripheral wall, the partition wall defining a plurality of cells, each of the cells extending from an end face on an inlet side to an end face on an outlet side in a gas flow direction to form a flow path; a catalyst supported onto an interior of the partition wall; and at least one magnetic body provided within the honeycomb structure, wherein the catalyst support has a region A where the catalyst is not supported, at least on the end face side of the catalyst support on the inlet side in the gas flow direction, and wherein the magnetic body is arranged at least in the region A in the gas flow direction.

摘要: An exhaust emission control device has at least one exhaust gas line, at least one particulate filter and/or at least one exhaust gas catalytic converter connected to the exhaust gas line, and a heated catalyst assembly arranged upstream of the particulate filter and/or the exhaust gas catalytic converter. The heated catalyst assembly is designed to react fuel with exhaust gas, and has a housing provided with an inlet and an outlet connected to the exhaust gas line such that a partial flow of the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust gas line can be fed through the inlet into the housing and can be discharged from the housing through the outlet back into the exhaust gas line downstream of the inlet. An exhaust emission control device of this type may be used in conjunction with an internal combustion engine, and may be used for emission control of exhaust gas.

The system may comprise: an internal combustion engine having an intake passage and an exhaust passage; a turbocharger fluidly connected to the internal combustion engine, the turbocharger including a compressor and a turbine, the compressor being in fluid communication with the intake passage, and the turbine being in fluid communication with the exhaust passage; a reductant injector situated downstream of the turbocharger, wherein the reductant injector is closely coupled to the turbocharger such that a reductant is injected into an exhaust flow of the turbocharger; a first container downstream of the reductant injector, the first container including a multi-functional catalyst (MFC); and a second container downstream of the first container, the second container including a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) component and an Ammonia catalyst (AMOx) component.

摘要: An exhaust after treatment system for a vehicle includes an exhaust outlet pipe, having a first end that is connectable to a vehicle engine, for receiving exhaust gases from said vehicle engine, and having an outlet opening at a second end, arranged to eject the outlet gases, a catalytic converter, connected to the exhaust outlet pipe; and an electric heater element which is in heat conducting contact with the catalytic converter and adapted for pre-heating the catalytic converter. The heater element is positioned downstream of the catalytic converter with respect to the first end. Upon the vehicle being started, the heater element is switched on and gases are flowed from the second end, in the direction of the first end of the exhaust outlet pipe, through the catalytic converter for a pre-set period of time prior to passing exhaust gases from the engine towards the outlet opening at the second end.

摘要: A method for producing a conductive honeycomb structure includes: a forming step of extruding a forming raw material to obtain a honeycomb formed body; a drying step of drying the honeycomb formed body to obtain a honeycomb dried body; and a firing step of firing the honeycomb dried body to obtain a honeycomb fired body. The forming step includes controlling a volume fraction of a portion that can form pores of the honeycomb formed body so that an absolute value of a difference in the volume fraction of the portion that can form the pores in predetermined regions of the honeycomb formed body relative to a previously set, predetermined porosity of the honeycomb fired body is within 0.5%. The predetermined porosity is a porosity preset for each of the predetermined regions of the honeycomb fired body.

An operational parameter of the battery and the driving mode of the vehicle is determined. After receiving an indication that a first operational parameter threshold has been surpassed and a torque demand of the vehicle has been predicted, heat is provided to the catalyst of the after-treatment system based on the predicted torque demand of the vehicle surpassing a second operational parameter threshold.
