The anti-vibration device (15, 16, 31, 49, 50, 63) also has a spring (17, 32, 33, 51, 55, 72, 73) arranged functionally in series with the tension element.

The handle housing (3) is connected via antivibration elements to the drive unit. The work apparatus has a forward handle tube (4), which extends over the work apparatus transversely to the longitudinal direction and is attached with an end (10) to the free end of the extension (9) and with the other end (27) in the area of the rearward handle (8). At least one of the ends (10, 27) of the handle tube (4) is fixed via an antivibration element (11, 25, 26, 28, 34).

    摘要: An antivibration element (1) is especially for a portable handheld work apparatus such as a motor-driven chain saw or a brushcutter. The antivibration element includes a coil spring (2) and at least one guide. An end section (7, 8) of the coil spring (2) is fixed to the guide. In order to provide a progressive characteristic line of the coil spring (2) in a simple way, the coil spring (2) has a transition section (11, 12), which borders at the end section (7, 8) and is guided with play on the guide. When the coil spring is under load, the turns of the transition section come at least in part into contact engagement with a helically-shaped slot in the guide so that the spring stiffness of the antivibration unit increases.

The handle arrangement is connected to the internal combustion engine via a vibration damping system, the vibration damping system comprising at least one anti-vibration element. In order to achieve good vibration damping and sufficient operational rigidity in all operating ranges, in at least one direction of vibration in a predetermined frequency range the anti-vibration element has a first characteristic curve in a first state and a second characteristic curve in a second state and the anti-vibration element can be switched between the first state and the second state.

The vibration damper is held especially between a housing (6), which holds an internal combustion engine (5), and a handle (7) which is fixed on the housing (6) for guiding the work apparatus (4). The vibration damper includes a coil spring (9) and respective attachment elements (11, 12) at the ends (10, 13) of the coil spring. A coupling member (17) is provided to ensure that the work apparatus can be guided notwithstanding a break of a coil spring. The coupling member (17) projects through the coil spring (9) and bridges the axial distance (16) between the attachment elements (11 and 12). The coupling member (17) is connected to each attachment element (11, 12) so that it cannot separate therefrom.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a portable handheld work apparatus including a motor-driven chain saw, cutoff machine and the like. The work apparatus includes a housing and an internal combustion engine mounted in the housing for driving a work tool. The housing defines a space from which said engine draws combustion air and a fan wheel is disposed in the housing for generating a cooling-air flow which leaves the fan wheel in a direction tangential to the periphery of the fan wheel for cooling the engine. The housing has a U-shaped channel for conducting the cooling-air flow. The U-shaped channel is disposed so as to face toward the fan wheel with the base wall thereof being disposed at a predetermined spacing from the periphery of the fan wheel. The U-shaped channel has a pass-through formed in the base wall at a pregiven spacing downstream from the fan wheel for passing a portion of the cooling-air flow to the space as combustion air for the engine. The pass-through defines a plane and a center axis perpendicular to the plane. The U-shaped channel is configured to impart a predetermined direction of flow to the cooling-air flow at the region of the pass-through and the center axis and the predetermined direction of flow conjointly define an angle .beta. having a value in a range of approximately 70.degree. to 180.degree..
