    摘要: This invention pertains to certain novel colorant compounds containing one or more ethylenically-unsaturated, photopolymerizable radicals that may be copolymerized (or cured) with ethylenically-unsaturated monomers to produce colored compositions such as colored acrylic polymers. Suitable compositions having the present colorants copolymerized therein include, e.g., polymers produced from acrylate and methacrylate esters, colored polystyrenes, and similar colored polymeric materials derived from other ethylenically-unsaturated monomers. The present invention also pertains to processes for preparing the photopolymerizable colorant compounds. The ethylenically unsaturated colorant compounds may be suitable for use in coatings that are applied to wood, glass, metal, thermoplastics and the like.

    摘要: The present invention provides an extendible enclosure, having a first frame member supporting a first mesh canopy and a second frame member supporting a second mesh canopy. A sliding mechanism coupling the first frame member to the second frame member is operable to reversibly extend the enclosure between a first contracted position and a second extended position, where the first frame member is configured to slidingly engage with the second frame member so that the second frame member at least partially nests within the first frame member when in the first contracted position. The extendible enclosure is particularly suited for objects such as tools, equipment and machinery.

    摘要: The present invention is a method for efficiently incorporating a nitrogen containing methine light absorber into a polyester resin. The method includes forming a reaction mixture comprising combining a diol component, a diacid component selected from the group consisting of dicarboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acid derivatives, and mixtures thereof, an antimony containing compound, a phosphorus containing compound, a metal containing compound, and a nitrogen containing methine light absorber. The reaction mixture is polymerized in a polycondensation reaction system. In another embodiment the light absorber is added while the reaction products of one reactor are being transferred to the next reactor in the polycondensation reaction system. The present invention is also directed articles made from the polyester resin.

    摘要: A method for incorporating a nitrogen containing methine light absorbing compound into a polyester prepared using direct esterification of reactants selected from a dicarboxylic acid and a diol, the method comprising reacting the reactants in an esterifying reactor under conditions sufficient to form an esterified product including at least one of an ester, an oligomer, or mixture having an ester and a mixture of low molecular weight polyester; polymerizing the esterified product in a polycondensation reactor to form a polyester; and adding the light absorbing compound to the esterified products when at least 50% of the carboxy groups initially present in the reactants have been esterified. Articles utilizing the light protected polyester are additionally disclosed.
