摘要: A method and method of estimating fatigue life of a structure is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method may include determining strain on the structure using a plurality of gauges positioned on the structure. The method may also include detecting a parameter of the structure with a plurality of sensors positioned on the structure. Further, the method includes converting the detected parameter and the determined strain to proportional loads acting on the structure and transforming the proportional loads to coordinate system data associated with the structure. Based on the coordinate system data, the fatigue life of the structure may be estimated.

摘要: A system and method for detecting and avoiding attempts at taking the same survey by the same respondent. A respondent is assigned a Global unique identifier (GUID) and the encrypted global identifier is inserted in a “cookie” stored on the user's computer. Each time a respondent attempts to take a survey, a respondent is identified using a mechanism such as e-mail, computer identifier or the like and a Survey Management system checks to see if this respondent should have a global identifier encoded in a cookie. Based on this review, the Survey Management system can determine whether or not this particular user, whether using different computer systems or under different user accounts has previously taken the survey.

摘要: An apparatus and method for reforming a fuel include: first and second partial oxidation zones; and first and second catalytic zones containing first and second catalysts respectively. The first catalytic zone is in fluid communication with the first and second partial oxidation zones. The second catalytic zone is in fluid communication with the second partial oxidation zone. The first partial oxidation zone has at least one burner adapted to partially oxidate at least a portion of a first stage feed of the fuel with at least a portion of a first stream of an oxidant. The second partial oxidation zone has at least one other burner adapted to partially oxidate at least a portion of a second stage feed of the fuel or an other feed of an other fuel with at least a portion of a second stream of the oxidant or an other oxidant.

摘要: The invention provides a process which facilitates high incremental capacity expansion of existing syngas-based plants by providing an adiabatic prereformer and an independent heater which is configured to (1) receive a prereformed and preheated mixed feed stream from the prereformer, (2) heat the prereformed and preheated mixed feed stream to a reheat temperature of as high as around 700° C. without local overheating of heat exchange surfaces and without the risk of carbon formation (on, e.g., fired heater heating coils), and which (3) feeds the prereformed and preheated mixed feed stream at the reheat temperature to the inlet of reformer radiant section catalyst tubes, wherein the prereformer and independent heater are not contained within the reformer.

摘要: A modular substrate-based processing scheme for producing semiconductor devices provides multiple modular processing units which may be arranged together to form any of various cohesive processing units or they may be individually or sequentially processed through standard semiconductor processing equipment. The cohesive processing units are processed unitarily providing for multiple modular processing units to be processed simultaneously. The modular processing units may be formed of a thick semiconductor substrate or a semiconductor substrate mounted on a further substrate such as a ceramic material. The modular processing units may each contain ribs, grooves, posts or other features to aid in handling and placement of the individual units.
