摘要： An input device include a deformable tip that is adjustable to define a shape tip configuration. Exemplary tip shapes may include multiple types of oil brushes or a Chinese brush, among other alternatives. In some cases, the deformable tip may be more rigid in a jammed tip configuration in which solid particles in a membrane are jammed together using a vacuum pump. In some examples, at least a portion of the deformable tip may be illuminated in a color to be used in the digital painting application.

An active communication path from one of the network devices to the servers is determined. In response to detecting a failure of the active communication path, a second of the network devices is indicated as the active network device. The configuration is detected by the network devices based on packets received at the network devices.

摘要： Techniques for securely computing skill level of users of an online service using data anonymization to protect data privacy are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a computer-implemented method comprises: performing a data anonymization process on a dataset, the data anonymization process comprising removing reference user identifications from the dataset; computing a combined skill-title association score for each title-skill pair in the dataset based on a title-skill association resume score and a title-skill similarity score of the title-skill pair; and computing a skill level value of a user in response to a determination that a profile of the user includes one of the title-skill pairs, the skill level value indicating a skill level in the skill and being computed using a duration of experience of the user in the job title and the combined skill-title association score; and using the skill level value in an application of the online service.

摘要： A preconnectorized outdoor cable streamlines the deployment of optical waveguides into the last mile of an optical network. The preconnectorized outdoor cable includes a cable and at least one plug connector. The plug connector is attached to a first end of the cable, thereby connectorizing at least one optical waveguide. The cable has at least one optical waveguide, at least one tensile element, and a cable jacket. Various cable designs such as figure-eight or flat cables may be used with the plug connector. In preferred embodiments, the plug connector includes a crimp assembly having a crimp housing and a crimp band. The crimp housing has two half-shells being held together by the crimp band for securing the at least one tensile element. When fully assembled, the crimp housing fits into a shroud of the preconnectorized cable. The shroud aides in mating the preconnectorized cable with a complimentary receptacle.
