    摘要: A method for enabling a mobile station (MS) to efficiently detect and search for a femto base station is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of receiving a signal including information of a femto base station; and searching for the femto base station on the basis of the received information, wherein said received information is a sequence including at least one of the following: the entirety or a part of a femto base station ID (Identity), the entirety or a part of a cell ID, a sector ID, the entirety or a part of a CSG (Closed Subscriber Group) ID, and a frequency allocation index. In the step of receiving femto base station information, a preamble and data containing information on the femto base station are received. In the step of detecting the femto base station, the femto base station is separately detected on the basis of the received information. Here, the entirety or a part of the preamble sequence of the femto base station which is used for the separation of the femto base station is reused as a scrambling sequence for said data.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a handover method for a mobile communication system. The handover method according to the present invention informs a current state to a serving base station(BS) when a re-entry process has been delayed or a handover has failed due to an error occurred in the handover procedure during handover, and receives from the serving BS a status information response message containing available interval and unavailable interval reset information and link disconnection time reset information for extending the link disconnection time. So, the present invention minimizes or prevents a handover delay or extend a link disconnection time with the serving BS, thereby allowing a terminal to receive a continuous service even during the handover procedure.

The femto base station is able to change the type of CSG opening/closing depending on conditions, and broadcasts the information on the change. A terminal is able to determine the network entry/handover to a corresponding femto cell by using the broadcasted information. The change of cell type of a CSG femto cell can be used when interference adjustment is required depending on the resource conditions of a femto cell.

A method for supporting an Inter-RAT handover by an IEEE 802.16m MS includes performing, by the MS, pre-registration in an Inter-RAT target BS using a tunneling, if a channel quality of an Inter-RAT neighbor cell is higher than a pre-registration threshold, and transmitting a handover request message for a handover to the target BS to a serving BS, if a channel quality of the neighbor cell is equal to or higher than a handover threshold during a time duration in a scanning of the neighbor cell and a channel quality of the target BS is equal to or higher than that of the neighbor cell. This handover method reduces a time required for a handover from an IEEE 802.16m network to a Non-802.16m network, provides a seamless service, supports a rapid recovery in case of a radio link failure, and increases handover reliability.

    摘要: The present invention provides a media independent information service (MIIS) for media independent handover (MIH) in a broadband wireless access system. A first lower entity of a mobile station receives a MIH information request primitive requesting a set of information elements provided by the MIIS from a first upper entity of the mobile station. An MIH information request message including an information query list to retrieve the set of information elements is transmitted from the first lower entity to a second lower entity of a base station. An MIH information response message including the set of information elements is received by the first lower entity from the second lower entity in response to the MIH information request message. An MIH information confirmation primitive including the set of information elements is then transmitted from the first lower entity to the first upper entity. The set of information elements includes at least a channel IE representing channel information of a point of attachment (PoA), a quality of service (QoS) IE associated with a QoS level provided by the PoA, or a data rate IE associated with a data transport speed at the PoA.
