摘要: An incubator has a transparent covering hood having at least one side wall on which two flaps are mounted for closing access openings formed in the side wall. The flaps are each provided with a hinge and closure element. The flaps and access openings are so configured that the maximum possible freedom of movement is provided for the person treating the patient while at the same time the smallest possible outlet area is attained to prevent heat and oxygen losses from within the incubator to the ambient. For this purpose, the access openings are configured to be elongated and so that their respective longitudinal axes conjointly define an upwardly facing obtuse angle. To improve visibility for observing the premature infant and to improve ergonomically correct actuation of the operating elements, both the hinge and the closure element are located together on one side of the flap.

摘要: An incubator for maintaining a warm environment for infants includes a substantially elongated resting or bed surface which is surrounded by a hood. At least one side wall of the front side has closable access openings. An air outlet for supplying air into the hood and an air inlet for carrying air away from the hood are provided at the peripheral region of the resting surface. In the incubator, the air is guided to maintain a stable incubator air temperature to reduce heat losses from convection and radiation with the hood closed and, with the front side opened, the buildup of a stable warm-air curtain is promoted. For this purpose, the air outlet is disposed along the front side, and the air inlet is disposed along the rear side opposite this front side.

摘要: In incubator 1 for tomographic examinations includes a patient section 2 and a supply section 3 which extends from the patient section 2. The patient section includes a cylindrically-shaped double wall section made of transparent plastic. The supply section 3 includes a venturi nozzle 13 which functions to generate a difference pressure and simultaneously supplies air and oxygen. The supply section 3 also includes a heater 14 which is preferably combined with an air humidifier 15 outputting water vapor as well as input and output openings to and from the patient section 2 to ensure a circulating air and oxygen supply in the incubator 1 while at the same time emitting a gas portion to the ambient through openings 20.

摘要: A radiation arrangement provides heat to a bed surface for accommodating a patient thereon. Heat sources are arranged at a spatial distance above the bed surface in such a way that uniform radiant warming of the bed surface is obtained and that sides of the bed surface are maintained clear of radiation to facilitate access by persons attending the patient so that these attending persons are not subjected to the radiant heat especially in the region of the head. The arrangement includes small-surface heat radiators which are located and spaced vertically above the corner points of a polygon border enclosing the bed surface.

摘要: A respiration moistener (1) has an inlet (3), into which incoming gas (2) to be moistened can be fed. Vapor (21) is mixed with the incoming gas (2) in a mixing chamber (4). Moistened outgoing gas (5) flows out of an outlet (6). In cases in which the temperature of the incoming gas (2) becomes so high that the temperature of the outgoing gas (5) is above a desired value, the internal desired value is adjusted. The outgoing gas (5) can then cool to the desired value on its way through the inspiration tube (7).

摘要: An arrangement for measuring the body temperature of a living organism includes a sensor housing containing a first temperature sensor for measuring the skin temperature of the living organism, a second temperature sensor and an evaluation unit. The first temperature sensor is placed on the skin of the body and the second temperature sensor is arranged thermally insulated on the side of the first temperature sensor facing away from the skin and is at a spacing relative to the first temperature sensor. The evaluation unit computes the body temperature in accordance with a pregiven temperature formula which contains a temperature difference from the temperatures measured by the first temperature sensor and the second temperature sensor. A compensation unit is provided in such a manner that a lost heat flow (qsa) is considered which occurs during the measurement operation.

摘要: A breathing gas humidifier system for a patient includes a replaceable, closed water reservoir (1) with stable pressure, provided for receiving a water reserve for the breathing gas humidifier system. An intermediate storage unit (4) with water is closed from the environment and is located under the water reservoir. The water reservoir (1) and the intermediate storage unit (4) have a valve (16, 14) each, with one of the valves cooperating with the other valve, so that there is a flow connection between the water reservoir (1) and the intermediate storage unit (4) only when the water reservoir (1) is received in a connector (2) of the intermediate storage unit (4). The intermediate storage unit (4) is connected via a water connection line (5) located below the water level to a heated evaporator chamber (7), which opens above the water evaporating at the boiling point into the breathing gas line to a patient. A gas pressure equalizing line (12) is located between the heated evaporator chamber (7) and the intermediate storage unit (4).
