    摘要: In a pH measurement system, a magnet defines a BO magnetic field with which selected dipoles preferentially align in an examination region. A orbital angular momentum system endows electromagnetic (EM) radiation with orbital angular momentum (OAM) and transmits the OAM endowed EM radiation to the examination region to at least one of (1) enhance the preferential alignment of the selected dipoles with the BO magnetic field and (2) excite the aligned dipoles to resonate. A receive coil receives resonance signals from the resonating dipoles. An analysis or measurement unit determines a pH in the examination region by analyzing the resonance signals.

    摘要: A method and system communicates payload data over a plurality of low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) channels (50). First device (100) transmits the payload data and synchronization information to the second device (150) over N LVDS channels (50), along with a word clock synchronized to the payload data. The second device generates M LVDS receive clocks from the word clock, each having a same frequency that is P times a frequency of the word clock, and each having a different phase. Each of N LVDS receivers (160) of the second device (150): correlates the synchronization data with a reference word using each of the M LVDS receive clocks to produce a correlation value for each of the M LVDS receive clocks; selects a selected LVDS receive clock producing a greatest correlation value; and receives the payload data for the corresponding LVDS channel (50) using the selected LVDS receive clock.

    摘要: A magnetic resonance system includes a main magnet (12,12′, 12″) which generates a static magnetic field B0 in an examination region (14,14′,14″). A hyperpolarization device (26,26′,26″) directly hyperpolarizes nuclear spins via electromagnetic radiation endowed with orbital angular momentum transverse to the static magnetic field B0 for inducing magnetic resonance. The hyperpolarization device includes an orientation tracking unit (100) which determines an orientation of the endowed photon beam relative to a predefined external coordinate system. An orientation modifier (104) adjusts the orientation of the endowed photon beam to an optimal orientation according to the determined relative orientation.

    摘要: An electroholographic display system (500) includes a coherent light source (130) adapted to produce a coherent, collimated light beam, a spatial light modulator (SLM) (120) adapted to modulate the light beam, an optical unit (350, 450) in an optical path between the SLM (120) and the image plane (580) where a holographic image is projected. The optical unit (350, 450), which may include a pair of convex lenses (460, 470), operates to effectively decrease the pitch (220) of the pixels (210) of the SLM (120). This allows the electroholographic display system (500) to exhibit a desired range of diffraction even when it includes an SLM (120) whose pixel pitch (220) is larger than would otherwise be required for the desired diffraction range.
