    摘要: User equipment (1100, 1200) supporting multi-carrier operation is adapted to identify whether it is experiencing an excessive interference level on a downlink carrier, which interference may be due to an aggressor carrier. Based on this information, the user equipment deactivates one or more of the downlink carriers so that an adequate downlink quality can be maintained for at least some of the carriers. In an example method, a plurality of activated downlink carriers including at least two non-adjacent downlink carriers in a frequency band are received (1010). The user equipment monitors (1020) quality of at least a subset of the plurality of activated downlink carriers, and determines (1030) that the quality of at least one of the monitored carriers is worse than a predetermined threshold. In response, the user equipment deactivates (1040) one or more of the activated downlink carriers.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a method in a wireless access network node for controlling a UE. The UE comprises at least two transmit antennas, and is capable of uplink transmit diversity. There is an antenna weight associated with each transmit antenna. First, the wireless access network node determines that the antenna weights of the user equipment may be controlled. Then, it creates a control signal that comprises control information and transmits it to the user equipment. The control information controls a UE autonomous selection of the antenna weights in the UE.

    摘要: In a network that provides high-speed packet access, a mobile terminal is served by multiple activated serving cells which are grouped into cell groups. The mobile terminal monitors control channel transmissions to detect whether there are any transmissions for the mobile terminal from the activated serving cells for each cell group and provides feedback to a primary serving cell. When no transmission is detected from serving cells of a particular cell group, the mobile terminal may transmit feedback information explicitly indicating that no transmission is detected for that cell group. Alternatively, the mobile terminal may withhold transmitting feedback for that cell group and increases the power for transmitting the feedback information for cell groups in which transmissions were detected.

    摘要: Methods and devices are described for use in a wireless communications system supporting uplink transmit diversity. If it is detected that a user equipment is currently in one of a predetermined set of situations, a set of restrictions associated with the detected situation is applied when the user equipment changes pre-coding weights. The set of restrictions limits how much the pre-coding weights can be changed. A user equipment in soft handover may also be restricted to only consider feedback information from a serving base station when selecting pre-coding weights. Thus it is possible to ensure that pre-coding weights are carefully selected in situations where there is a high risk for detrimental interference and/or inferior uplink/downlink performance. A network node may be configured to detect such a situation and notify the user equipment of any restrictions to be applied on the pre-coding weight selection.
