    摘要： A valve made principally of plastic has a creep compensating features providing consistent engagement between valve members and their respective valve seats, minimizing creep, and compensating for any creep that does occur. The features compensate for compression of internal valve components as well as extension of the valve body. In a manually operated three way valve embodiment of the invention, a trapped spring mechanism inserted between an actuator portion and the upper valve member provides the closure force for the upper valve member on the upper valve seat. The first valve member and second valve member connect through a extensible portion. Valves according to the invention are particularly suitable for quarter-turn three-way manual diaphragm valves and for applications in the semiconductor industry.

    摘要： A multi-part electrical/electronics enclosure that may be used for in-wall installation of intercom, home audio, lighting and other similar system components. The enclosure includes two major components including a back box and a frame. The frame acts as a structural member for both, electronic components internal to the back box as well as user-facing input/output electronic devices such as a keypad and/or display. The frame is preferably formed from aluminum to act as a heat sink, and has front facing standoffs. The standoffs ensure an air gap is maintained between the frame and a front bezel, to allow for airflow and hence cooling by convection.

    摘要： A command post radio provides for more reliable radio communications between two or more locations using handie talkies by incorporating in the use of a command post radio. In one embodiment, a firefighter on a fire floor of a building can use a handie talkie to send a signal to a post radio on a floor below the fire floor. The post radio can boost and transmit the signal to a mobile radio and Cross Band repeater in a Battalion car where the signal is then transmitted to a handie talkie carried by the Battalion Chief in the lobby of the building. The Battalion Chief can respond to the firefighter on the fire floor via the same path. In addition to use by fire departments, the post radio can be used by different groups for different operations.

    摘要： A control system is extremely flexible and modular and can be equipped or upgraded to have any number or combination of features, such as security, home theater/audio, HVAC, energy management, and lighting with each feature having a separate task unit. The task units can be added or removed from a core set of units within minimal impact on the core set of units. The core set of units includes a control database unit that stores sets of commands in a relational database according to an input/output event and a command execution unit that routes the commands to the appropriate task units for execution. The core set of units do not need to understand the input/output event or the commands but rather routes the commands to the task units addressed for execution. The system has a variable database that contains a relational database of variables shared between the various task units and stores such things as all keypad displays. The individual task units query the variable database unit for values of all shared variables and automatically receive any updates in values of the shared variables from the variable database unit. The software for the system is stored in flash ROM and can be automatically upgraded through a download task unit. The system may have an energy task unit that adjusts consumption of electricity based on any changes in rate and which provides a pathway of communication with the electrical utility company.
