摘要： A keyboard mechanism for a low-travel keyboard and methods of fabrication are described. The low-travel keyboard is suitable for a thin-profile computing device, such as a laptop computer, netbook computer, desktop computer, etc. The keyboard includes a key cap that can be formed of a variety of materials in the form of a flat slab. The key cap is attached to one end of a support lever that supports it from underneath. In one embodiment, the support lever is formed of a rigid material and is pivotally coupled with a substrate on the other end. In another embodiment, the support lever is formed of a flexible material and is fixedly attached to the substrate on the other end. The portion of the support lever that is attached to the key cap is positioned over a metal dome that can be deformed to activate the switch circuitry of the membrane on printed circuit board underneath the dome.

摘要： A small-sized operation switch wiring mechanism which can easily set an address without using an address setting device. The operation switch wiring mechanism includes a device body formed at three-module size. Disposed on the front surface of the device body are operation buttons which cover operators of eight operation switches individually assigned with addresses corresponding to the addresses of relays, and an operator of a rotary switch which alternatively selects a combination of the addresses of the operation switches among a plurality of combinations. In the device body, a signal processor transmits a transmission signal including operation information due to the manipulation of the operation switch, and the address of the manipulated operation switch to a signal line is received. A face cover that covers the entire front surface is detachably attached to the front surface of the device surface.

摘要： A switch having terminals that provide from side surfaces of a switch housing for mounting on a substrate. Through-holes are provided in the terminals. A main body is installed in a cutaway part of the substrate to form a gap between the housing side surface and the cutaway part. When soldering a solder connection surface of the terminal to the solder mounting surface of the substrate, flux flows out to a substrate end surface through a space formed continuously between each through-hole and the gap, such that there is no penetration of flux into the interior of the switch. As a result, contact operation is made stable. In addition, the solder connection strength is also improved by forming a solder fillet on the interior surface of the through-hole.

摘要： A configurable switch matrix assembly with button assembly is disclosed for keypads used in devices such as primary control points for automation systems in homes vehicles, or commercial environments. The configurable switch matrix assembly preferably includes a frame for supporting a plurality of positionable cross members and optionally a baffle. The cross members and frame each preferably include cantilevers which can be deflected by pressing the button assemblies to activate switches associated with the keypad. Dynamic status lights and back lights may provide illumination of varying colors and intensities. Button labels may be easily replaced in the button assemblies. Button assemblies of different sizes and shapes may be easily attached to the configurable switch matrix assembly in various configurations without the need for different attaching devices for each situation and/or environment.
