摘要: The present invention provides a method for diagnosing an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or predisposition to develop an ASD, in a subject, which comprises the step of investigating a set of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in a sample from the subject, wherein the number of SNPs in the set is such that the method can diagnose ASD with at least 70% accuracy. The invention also provides a kit for diagnosing an ASD, or predisposition to develop an ASD, in a subject, which comprises a plurality of primer pairs or probes capable of investigating such a set of SNPs in a sample from a subject, and a method for making such a kit.

摘要: The present invention relates to systems and methods for reconciliation or settlement of vending machine accounts. The present invention creates a transaction data packet having a transaction information for a credit transaction carried out on the vending device, where the vending device is configured to conduct a credit based vending transaction, forwards the transaction data packet for the credit transaction to a host processor, adds a host transaction identifier to the transaction data packet to create a modified transaction data packet for the transaction; sends the modified transaction data packet it to a merchant processor, receives an interim report from the merchant processor, calculates and applies individual interchange values to the transaction using stored rate table values, assigns a vending device identifier using the host transaction identifier to the modified transaction packet, identifies a correct time and date of a respective machine fill corresponding to the transaction on the vending device, forwards transaction information to a vending device route operator, and assigns the transaction to the vending device against a specific fill period for a total card transaction value and a card transaction value net merchant processor and association fees.

摘要: A method for continuously processing meat substrates, such as poultry, includes placing a meat substrate in a package sized to contain the meat substrate and a predetermined amount of a marinade. The marinade generally comprises a solute and water, but optionally includes a soluble or insoluble seasoning and other ingredients. Preferably, the marinade also includes a thickening agent, such as modified food starch and xanthan gum, to increase its viscosity to minimize leaking. After the predetermined amount of marinade is added to the package, the package is then sealed. Preferably, the volume of the sealed package is substantially equal to the sum of the volume of the meat substrate and the predetermined amount of marinade. When the marinade includes an insoluble seasoning, it is desirable to add a fraction of the marinade, then place the meat substrate in the package, and then add the remainder of the marinade.

摘要: A retrofit HID lamp assembly, for use in a non-HID lighting receptacle, to provide HID illumination. The lamp assembly includes (i) a housing of a non-HID lamp assembly, (ii) a base terminal structure coupled with the housing, and compatible with such non-HID lighting receptacle, (iii) a ballast unit in the interior of the housing, (iv) a reflector overlying the ballast unit in the interior of the housing, (v) an HID lamp mounted in the interior of the housing so that light generated by the HID lamp is reflected by the reflector, with the HID lamp being electrically coupled with the ballast unit, and (vi) a lens coupled with the housing. A corresponding fabrication methodology is described. The retrofit HID lamp assembly may be used to retrofit existing lighting installations, such as PAR receptacles in exterior aircraft lighting systems, to cost-efficiently improve the illumination provided by such systems.

摘要: To a first organic liquid which has dissolved therein a flurocarbon polymer, e.g. 5 to 50% w/w e.g. PVDF, is added a second, compatible, non-solvent organic liquid in an amount (e.g. 1-50%) w/w such as to leave the polymer in solution. The mixed solution is applied to a leather or fabric substrate and heated e.g. at 60.degree. C. to 150.degree. C. for 2-15 minutes. Polymer deposits as the first liquid evaporates and pores form therein as the second liquid evaporates from the deposit. The anchored layer produced repels liquid water, but allows passage of water vapor.

摘要: An exhaust gas capture system for capturing the exhaust gas emitted by auxiliary engines, auxiliary boilers, and other sources on an Ocean Going Vessel (OGV) while at berth or at anchor so that these gases may be carried to an emissions treatment system for removal of air pollutants and or greenhouse gases. The exhaust gas capture system includes a manifold and a family of parallel-flow flexible ducts for connecting directly to individual OGV exhaust pipes. The exhaust gas capture system further includes apparatus for connecting the parallel-flow flexible ducts to the OGV exhaust pipes.

The wheel assembly (66) includes a pair of flanges (68) extending downwardly from the base bottom surface (26) of a front area (34) and a roller (70) is rotatably supported by and extends between the flanges (68). The roller (70) includes a drum (72) and a roller extremity (74) and a plurality of teeth (76) are disposed about the drum (72) and extend from the drum (72) to the roller extremity (74). The flanges (68) extend to a position to dispose the roller extremity (74) below the base bottom surface (26) of the receptacle (20) for supporting the receptacle (20) on the roller (70) and a first intersection (32) of a middle and rear area (36, 38) of the base bottom surface (26) in a static condition.
