    Abstract: Disclosed is a system to enable operating parameters of edge devices to be configured. In one example, a controller device detects or verifies edge devices that are powered-off. In response to detecting edge devices, the controller device generates, for each detected edge device, corresponding configuration data, and transmits the configuration data to the server. In one approach, each powered-on edge device connects to the server, and automatically retrieves corresponding configuration data from the server. In another example, a disclosed controller device enables configuring operating parameters of edge devices without a network connection to the server through a simplified process. For example, the controller device detects or verifies edge devices within a predetermined distance from the controller device. The controller device may simultaneously or sequentially access different wireless communications with different edge devices using network access information, and transmit configuration data to connected edge devices.

    Abstract: A controller includes a plurality of configurable input ports, a plurality of configurable output ports, and a configuration circuit. The configuration circuit is configured to provide a graphical user interface configured to facilitate a user in inputting an equipment description, determine a controller configuration based on the equipment description, configure the plurality of configurable input ports in accordance with the controller configuration, configure the plurality of configurable output ports in accordance with the controller configuration, and enable a set of control logic based on the controller configuration. The controller also includes an online control circuit configured to receive inputs via the plurality of configurable input ports, generate outputs based on the inputs and the set of control logic, and provide the outputs to building equipment via the plurality of configurable output ports.

    Abstract: A building management system network interface device is provided. The network interface device includes a processing circuit with a device interface module and a network interface module. The device interface module is communicably coupled to a refrigeration equipment controller and includes an equipment object configured to receive data values and to populate attributes of the equipment object with the data values. The network interface module is communicably coupled to the device interface module and an external network, and is configured to map the attributes of the equipment object to individual data objects and to write the attributes of the equipment object to the mapped individual data objects. The processing circuit is also configured to execute control logic to control the operation of the refrigeration equipment controller based on the data values received from the refrigeration equipment controller and commands received from the external network.

    Abstract: An actuator of an environmental control system of a building including a motor and a drive device driven by the motor and configured to drive a valve within a range of positions. The actuator includes one or more printed circuit boards including one or more processing circuits configured to obtain a raw measurement data set from transducers and generate a flow signal based on the raw measurement data set. The flow signal indicates a flow rate of a fluid through a conduit. The one or more processing circuits are configured to determine an actuator position setpoint based on a flow rate setpoint and the flow signal and operate the motor to drive the drive device to the actuator position setpoint. The motor, the drive device, and the one or more printed circuit boards are located within a common device chassis.

    Abstract: A device for use in a building management system (BMS) includes a base hardware component that provides communication between the equipment and a first network associated with the BMS. The base hardware component includes a processor and a memory. The device further includes a modular hardware component connected to the base hardware component and a modular software component stored in the memory that recognizes the modular hardware component connected to the base hardware component and provides communication between the equipment and a second network using the modular hardware component. The processor executes a control application to control operation of the equipment based in part on data received from the equipment and data received from at least one of the first network and the second network.
