摘要： Provided is a method of efficiently processing a Short-Term Key Message (STKM) in the mobile broadcast supporting the mobile terminal. A structure of a response message according to processing the STKM in the smart card is also provided. In particular, a variety of information necessary for reproducing in the player is included in the response message and delivered to the mobile terminal, thereby the mobile terminal can easily obtain the desired information through the response message. Therefore, when the STKM is processed in the mobile terminal, there is no need to process operations except for a resending check, and the information does not need to be stored separately.

The method includes determining whether an error has occurred in a BIFS object contained in a transmission stream when a DMB terminal receives the transmission stream from a DMB broadcasting station; transmitting a message for requesting re-download of the erroneous BIFS object to a BIFS server via a mobile communication network when it is determined that an error has occurred in the BIFS object; transmitting a BIFS object when the BIFS server receives a message for requesting download of the BIFS object; and storing the BIFS object when the DMB terminal receives the BIFS object from the BIFS server.

The detailed incoming/outgoing call information mapped to the same phone number can be viewed at one time by integrating and providing the incoming/outgoing call information.

A request for a contiguous service is received from a terminal during a mid-point of a video stream. A delay time that may be generated when the video contents are transmitted is estimated for each of a patching type and a fast broadcasting type. A transmission type with a shorter delay time for the video contents is determined based on the estimated delay time for each of the patching type and the fast broadcasting type. And the video contents are transmitted to the terminal by applying the determined transmission type.

摘要： Disclosed is a system and method for efficiently providing Electric Service Guide (ESG) data in a Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld (DVB-H) system. There is presented a method for dividing ESG data into basic data and additional data and for separately providing the data, wherein the basic data is necessary to provide a DVB-H broadcasting service. To separately provide the basic data from the additional data, a service provider forwards, during a basic profile session, only the basic data necessary to provide a broadcasting service, and separately forwards additional data during an advanced profile session including additional and high-grade data. Then, a terminal determines if a profiling is set up. If the profiling is set up, the terminal gets access to the basic profile session to acquire the basic data, and deals with the advanced profile session as a background job. As a result, the terminal first gets the basic ESG data necessary to provide the broadcasting service, which can antedate the commencement of the broadcasting service, and which can improve the effectiveness of a data receiving scheme of the terminal in great measure.
