摘要: A diode-pumped high performance solid state laser has at least one pump module comprising at least two laser diode arrays which transversely irradiate a solid state laser rod. The path length of the radiation emitted by a laser diode array through the solid state laser rod and the required absorption path for this radiation, determined by the emission wavelength of this radiation and the doping of the laser-active medium, are adapted to one another extensively in different ways.

摘要: In a device with a laser for image presentation in which the laser emits laser light of a defined coherence length L at a given wavelength .lambda. and in which there is arranged in the path of the laser light a first structure with which phase displacements can be carried out for individual photons of the laser light in accordance with a predetermined distribution, it is provided that the average path given by the ratio of the average root mean square of the phase displacement formed by the distribution and the magnitude of the wave vector k=2.pi./.lambda. of the laser is greater than the coherence length L multiplied by a factor of 1/(12).sup.1/2.

摘要: A mode-synchronized solid-state laser comprising a laser medium inside a laser resonator which is formed by a resonator mirror and an output coupling mirror and which is folded by at least one concave folding mirror, with a saturable absorber inside the laser resonator and with at least one laser pump source whose pump beam pumps the laser medium, wherein the elongated resonator length L is a function of the pulse repetition frequency and the latter is determined by a distance between the resonator mirror and the output coupling mirror. An elliptic beam profile inside of the laser resonator which is caused by an inclination of an optical axis of the at least one concave folding mirror relative to a folded optical axis of the laser resonator is eliminated by an elliptic thermal lens in the laser medium whose optical action generates an ellipticity of the beam profile which is offset by 90° relative to the elliptic beam profile generated by the folding mirror, wherein, by virtue of the material characteristics, the crystallographic orientation and the geometric dimensioning of the laser medium and by a choice of intensity and intensity distribution of the pump beam in the laser medium, the degree of ellipticity of the thermal lens is adjusted in such a way that the most uniform possible energy density distribution occurs over the irradiated zone of the saturable absorber.

摘要: A method and a device for projecting an image made up of pixels onto a projection surface, including a variable-intensity light source emitting a light beam and a decoupling device, and a deflection device directing the light beam onto a projection surface. In The light beam(s) are deflected such that the beams strike mirror facets of the polygonal mirror twice in a row. The diameter at which the beam strikes the first mirror facet of the polygonal mirror is adjusted such that it is dimensioned to practically not be cut by the facet edges. At the second strike, the light beam always intersects the mirror facet at the same location.

摘要: In an arrangement for displaying images on a projection screen, which arrangement includes a laser, which emits a laser beam, and a deflecting device, which is provided for deflecting the laser beam, and an image-generating device which is connected to a controlling device for controlling the laser and the deflecting means. The image-generating device is switchable in two operating modes, the first operating mode being the standard operating mode for projecting, and the second being an operating mode in which the laser radiation is harmless to a person disposed in the region to which the laser has access. In this regard, a safety circuit is provided and comprises at least one sensor, by which a monitored region, which is larger than the region accessible to the laser, between the image-generating means and the projection screen is monitored as to the presence of objects, wherein the image-generating means is switchable into the second operating mode by means of the safety circuit, in the event of an object being present.
