    摘要: The present invention relates to a communications connector comprising an internal circuit board having a plurality of circuit board layers that include a plurality of capacitive and inductive devices that counteract the crosstalk created by a first other connector mated to the communications connector. In addition, the communications connector comprises an internal fanout assembly mounted to the internal circuit board that has a plurality of conductors arranged so as to form a compensation area that counteracts crosstalk created by a second other connector mated to the communications connector. The circuit board can comprise at least one capacitive device provided on its outer surface that is manually reducible in size so as to adjust the amount of capacitance created therewith such that the amount of crosstalk compensation provided by the circuit board can be adjusted.

    摘要: A cross-talk compensaring circuit member for use with communications systems connector arrays. The circuit member comprises a wiring board on which are printed conductive paths for each of the leads of the several (usually four) pairs in a connector jack, and the board may accommodate several such jacks. The conductive paths are routed in a manner to create facing inductive loop portions which are substantially mirror images of each other to produce inductive interaction among the different pair combinations. Capacitive coupling is also used in one embodiment.

    摘要: A crosstalk compensating connector jack assembly has a dielectric spring block having a staggered configuration of lead frames. The conductors of one of the lead frames are maintained at a first level in the block and the conductors of a second one of the lead frames are maintained at a second level within the block. The two levels are spaced apart a distance that permits the formation of interacting inductive loops. For at least two pairs of conductors, one of the conductors is in the first lead frame and the other conductor is in the second lead frame, thereby forming two inductive loops which interact with each other to reduce crosstalk. The spring block is made of two substantially identical halves adapted to be latched together to hold the conductors in place.

    摘要: A low crosstalk connector configuration includes a terminal face, and at least three pairs of elongated parallel electrical connector terminals, wherein each pair is aligned in a plane normal to the terminal face. A first pair of terminals is aligned in a plane parallel to a second plane in which a second pair of terminals is aligned. A first distance between midpoints of the first and the second pairs of terminals in a direction parallel to the first and the second planes, equals a second distance between the midpoints in a direction perpendicular to the first and the second planes. A third pair of terminals is aligned in a third plane perpendicular to the first and the second planes. The third plane coincides with a point between either of the first or the second pair of terminals. A cable and connector assembly includes a length of cable with at least three pairs of twisted wires, with each wire pair connected to a corresponding pair of the connector terminals.

    摘要: A high frequency electrical connector includes a number of input terminals and output terminals that are interconnected by three metallic lead frames mounted on a dielectric spring block. The lead frames comprise flat elongated conductors, each terminating in a spring contact at one end and an insulation displacement connector at the other end. The lead frames are mounted on top of each other and their conductors are generally parallel and close to each other. Selected conductors of the lead frames crossover each other when they are mounted on the spring block but are prevented from making contact with each other at the crossover point. One pair of adjacent conductors are spaced a first distance from each other up to the crossover point, and a second, greater distance from each other beyond the crossover point for a portion of their lengths. The conductors of the one pair cross each other at a second crossover point. The conductors of a second conductor pair are crossed over one of the conductors of a third conductor pair and are closely spaced at the crossover point.
