摘要: Eyewear including a frame, a projector supported by the frame, and a lens supported by the frame. The lens has a first surface facing an eye of the user and a second surface facing away from the eye of the user when the frame is worn. The lens also includes a waveguide defined by the first and second surfaces to receive light from the projector. An input light coupler and an output light coupler are on the first surface of the lens and at least one reflector is positioned on a second surface of the lens to redirect light received from the input coupler and/or the output coupler to redirect light having an angle of incidence with respect to the second surface of the lens that would result in that portion of the light exiting the waveguide through the second surface in the absence of the at least one reflector.

摘要: Eyewear includes a frame configured to support an optical element and a temple pivotably connected to one side of the frame by a hinge. The temple is movable with respect to the frame between folded and unfolded configurations. A first permanent magnet is either disposed on or at least partially embedded within the frame at a location adjacent the hinge. A second permanent magnet (or ferromagnetic member) is either disposed on or at least partially embedded within the temple at a location adjacent the hinge. The permanent magnets are attracted to each other such that magnetic attraction retains the temple in the unfolded configuration when the temple is moved into the unfolded configuration.

摘要: A system comprises an eyewear device that includes a frame, a temple connected to a lateral side of the frame, an infrared emitter, and an infrared camera. The infrared emitter and the infrared camera are connected to the frame or the temple to emit a pattern of infrared light. The system includes a processor coupled to the eyewear device, a memory accessible to the processor, and programming in the memory. Execution of the programming by the processor configures the system to perform functions, including functions to emit, via the infrared emitter, a pattern of infrared light on an eye of a user of the eyewear device; capture, via the camera, reflection variations in the pattern of infrared light on the eye of the user; and identify a user of the eyewear device based on the reflection variations of the emitted pattern of infrared light on the eye of the user.

摘要: An eyewear device includes a frame, a temple connected to a lateral side of the frame, a processor, and an image display. The eyewear device further includes a touch sensor. The touch sensor includes an input surface and a sensor array that is coupled to the input surface to receive at least one finger contact inputted from a user. The sensor array can be a capacitive array or a resistive array. A sensing circuit is configured to measure voltage to track the at least one finger contact on the input surface. The processor of the eyewear device can identify a finger gesture based on at least one detected touch event, and adjust an image presented on the image display based on the identified finger gesture.

摘要: A system comprises an eyewear device that includes a frame, a temple connected to a lateral side of the frame, a fingerprint sensor, and a sensing circuit. The fingerprint sensor includes an input surface to receive input of a finger skin surface. The sensing circuit is configured to track a pattern of fingerprint ridges of the finger skin surface on the input surface. Execution of programming by a processor configures the system to perform functions to track, via the sensing circuit, the pattern of fingerprint ridges of the finger skin surface on the input surface; generate a fingerprint image having the tracked pattern of fingerprint ridges; extract fingerprint features from the fingerprint image; and authorize the user to utilize the eyewear device based on the extracted fingerprint features.
