    摘要： An information processing apparatus comprises a display device and a touch panel disposed in front of the display device. The apparatus further comprises: a unit for switching between a touch panel mode of operation and a pointing device mode of operation in accordance with a predetermined condition; a unit for performing processing in response to a touch position pointed to by a user on the touch panel in the touch panel mode of operation; a unit for displaying a symbol indicative of a pointing position on the display device in the pointing device mode of operation, and for moving the symbol at a predetermined reduction scale factor on the display device in accordance with the distance, direction and velocity of the relative movement of the touch position pointed to by the user on the touch panel; and a unit for displaying an image in the neighborhood of the symbol in a magnified form in a predetermined region on the touch panel in the pointing device mode of operation.

    摘要： A mobile apparatus senses without failing an object which exists in a traveling direction of itself even when a pedestrian is moving while looking at a screen on which information is displayed. The mobile apparatus having the screen comprises an object detector part 17 which exits within a predetermined range centered around the traveling direction of itself, an acceleration detector part 16 and the detection range changing means for changing a range in which the object detector part 17 detects the existence of an object, the traveling direction of itself is calculated based on acceleration of itself, and based on thus calculated traveling direction of itself, the detection range changing means changes the range in which the object detector part 17 detects the existence of an object.

    摘要： An information processing apparatus (100) includes a main unit (110) including a keyboard and having a generally rectangular major surface, and includes a display device (130) including a display screen and having a generally rectangular major surface. A bottom of the major surface of the display device can be selectively placed in a first position in which the bottom extends substantially along a first side of the major surface of the main unit, and a second position in which the bottom extends substantially along a second side of the major surface of the main unit that is substantially perpendicular to the first side. The information processing apparatus (100) further comprises power supply and information communications connectors in the main unit on a third side of the major surface of the main unit that is opposite and substantially parallel to the second side. The connector is connectable through another connector on a car docking station.

    摘要： A voltage conversion circuit is provided for efficiently converting the voltage of a DC power source into a lower voltage in accordance with load currents of voltage converters. An electronic apparatus includes: a DC power source for supplying a first DC supply voltage; a first DC voltage converter for converting the first DC supply voltage into a second DC supply voltage which is lower than the first DC supply voltage; a second DC voltage converter for converting either the first DC supply voltage or the second DC supply voltage at an input voltage terminal thereof into a third DC supply voltage which is lower than the second DC supply voltage; a switch for selecting and supplying one of the first DC supply voltage of the DC power source and the second DC supply voltage of the first DC voltage converter to the input voltage terminal of the second DC voltage converter, in accordance with a control signal; a switching controller for providing the control signal to the switch; and a plurality of components, ones of the components receiving the second DC supply voltage, ones of the components receiving the third DC supply voltage.

The information process comprises a main body having a built-in function unit in its case and an interface unit provided in a side face of the main body. In the side face of the main body in which the interface unit is provided has an interface attachment part to which the interface unit is attached and an expanded device receiving part capable of receiving at least one expanded device. The interface unit has a one-piece appearance integrated with the case of the main body when the interface unit is attached to the interface attachment part. When an expended device is received in the expanded device receiving part, the expanded device is held between the interface unit and the side face of the main body.
