摘要: A system and method for monitoring the molten state for enabling a molten state, butting state, or other state of electric-resistance-welded pipe on-line more accurately than in the past are provided. That is, a mirror 23 provided at a front end side inside a container 21 receives light emitted by the welded parts 5 of the tube-shaped steel strip 1 themselves through heat resistant glass 22 from the side direction and reflects the image of the welded parts 5 of the tube-shaped steel strip 1 in the direction of a relay lens 24 provided at a base end side of a relay lens unit 13. The relay lenses 24 relay the image of the welded parts 5 of the tube-shaped steel strip 1 to a conversion lens 12, then the conversion lens 12 forms that image on the imaging area of a CCD camera 11. Therefore, it is possible to capture the welded parts 5 of the tube-shaped steel strip 1 from the side direction by a resolution in accordance with the resolution of the CCD camera 11 and possible to obtain information of the welded parts 5 of the tube-shaped steel strip 1 more accurately than in the past and on-line.

摘要: An image pickup device includes a flash memory wherein picked-up image data is recorded. The flash memory includes a data block that stores the image data, and managing blocks which store managing data such as directory entries and a FAR chain. Image data is entered into the data block of the flash memory while the managing data is being written. When the power supply is accidentally turned off during the data entering operation and an abnormality occurs in the managing data, correct image data cannot be read out. The image pick-up device provides measures for eliminating such troubles. To this end, the flash memory includes a data block that stores a plurality of image data files, a pair of managing blocks that manage the data block, and a pair of checksum storage areas that have stored check data used to check respective data stored in the pair of managing blocks. An abnormality in each of the two file managing blocks is detected based on a respective one of the check data stored in the two checksum storage areas.

摘要: Upon receiving a first e-mail, which is deprived of its attachment file due to a capacity limitation of mail server 21a, MFP 11a transmits a second e-mail containing its own IP address and a transfer request for transferring the attachment file to MFP 14a, which is the transmission source of the first e-mail, and other transmission destinations, MFP 12a and 13a. Of those MFPs which received the second e-mail, MFP 12a is accessible to MFP 11a via network 30 and transmits the attachment file to MFP 11a, and MFP 11a prints out the attachment file upon receiving it, according to an example configuration. The invention makes it possible to acquire and print out a file attached to an e-mail when it cannot be received directly due to the capacity limit of the mail server by obtaining it from the transmission source or from another transmission destination.

摘要: An electronic image pickup apparatus picks up an object image such as an image on a blackboard and outputs the image. The apparatus can synthesize a picked-up image with format data input from another unit and output the synthesized image. When synthesis processing is to be performed, format data to be synthesized are created and stored in several line buffers in advance. When a picked-up one-line image signal is written in a line buffer of 1 line, the format data stored in the several line buffers are read out, and the image signal and the format data are synthesized in the line buffer of 1 line. By outputting the data in this line buffer in units of lines, the synthesized data obtained by synthesizing the picked-up image with the format data is output. A movable focus screen and a movable mirror are provided, along with a driving device for moving the focus screen and the mirror, in order to eliminate the need for a separate shutter plate, thus enabling miniaturization of the electronic image pickup apparatus.

摘要: A variable printing system includes: an image forming apparatus including an engine for variable printing; a device communicatively connected to the image forming apparatus; a first control section included in one of the image forming apparatus and the device; and a second control section included in one of the image forming apparatus and the device. The first control section acquires setting information of the engine corresponding to a job instructing variable printing, and performs one of adding the setting information into the job, and storing the setting information in a form of a database. The second control section analyses an output result of a job which has been executed and setting information of the engine corresponding to the job, and instructs the engine, based on a result of the analysis, to change a setting of the engine corresponding to a job to be executed or being executed.
