Abstract:
A securing device of a rim includes a rim having a connection bridge and two walls extend from the connection bridge. Multiple installation holes are defined through the connection bridge. Multiple spoke units each have a spoke, a first fixing member and a second fixing member, wherein the first fixing member has a first fixing portion which includes inner threads. A second fixing portion and a third fixing portion extend from the first fixing member. The third fixing portion has outer threads. The second fixing member includes a connection portion having inner threads defined which are threadedly connected to the third fixing portion. By the second fixing member, the first fixing member is secured and adjusted. The second and third fixing portions are reinforced.
Abstract:
A ratchet mechanism of a hub assembly is located between the hub and the tubular portion, and includes a driving member which is movable linearly in the tubular portion. One side of the driving member has a cone-shaped first ratchet portion located axially and is composed of two triangular contact surfaces. A passive member is fixed in the hub and has a cone-shaped second ratchet portion which is engaged with the first ratchet portion. A returning member is located between the hub and the driving member. The passive member is fixed to the hub easily. By the triangular cone-shaped first and second ratchet portions, the contact are and the friction between the ratchet portions are reduced, and the engagement and disengagement is more quick and smooth.
Abstract:
A hub assembly includes a ratchet mechanism located between the hub and the tubular portion on one end of the hub, and including a driving member which is located in the tubular portion and is movable linearly. One side of the driving member has a cone-shaped first ratchet portion located axially and is composed of two triangular contact surfaces. A passive member is movable in the first slot and one side of the passive member has a cone-shaped second ratchet portion which is engaged with the first ratchet portion. A returning member unit is located between the hub and the passive member, and between the tubular portion and the driving member. By the triangular cone-shaped first and second ratchet portions, the contact area and the friction between the ratchet portions are reduced, and the engagement and disengagement is more quick and smooth.
Abstract:
A rim assembly includes a rim and multiple spoke units and each spoke unit has at least one fixing frame, a fixing member and at least one spoke. The at least one fixing frame is connected to the inside of the rim and has a passage through which the rod-like fixing member extends. The fixing member has at least one positioning hole so as to be connected to an end of a spoke. The other end of the spoke is connected to the hub. The fixing member is rotatable and swings relative to the at least one fixing frame to adjust the position for being connected with the spoke.
Abstract:
A protection unit for a driving socket of a hub includes a hub with a driving socket connected to an end thereof and the driving socket has multiple ribs extending axially on the outer surface thereof. At least one protection unit is located between two ribs and has an engaging portion. A cover includes a cover face and two sidewalls so as to form an engaging groove. The engaging portion is engaged with the engaging groove. The three sides of the engaging portion are protected by the cover. The cover can be easily mounted to the ribs by the engagement of the engaging portion and the engaging groove so that the cover does not slip away from the ribs in radial direction.
Abstract:
A rim assembly includes a rim having a first connection bridge and a second connection bridge, and two walls extend from two sides of the first and second connection bridges. The first and second connection bridges each have multiple installation holes. A pad unit includes multiple pads and each pad has a through hole. The pads are located on a surface of the first connection bridge and the through holes are in alignment with the installation holes. Multiple connection members each have a passage, the connection members respectively extend through the installation holes and the through holes. The spokes are securely connected to the passages. The thickness of the rim is thin and the pads reinforce the connection positions where the spokes are connected.
Abstract:
A carbon fiber rim assembly includes a carbon fiber rim having a bridge and two sidewalls extend respectively from two sides of the bridge. Each sidewall has a hook portion and an annular groove is defined between the bridge and the two sidewalls. A tire has a tread body and two lips extend respectively from two sides of the tread body. The lips are engaged with the hook portions. A reinforcement member is a plate and the hardness of the reinforcement member is higher than that of the tire. A connection unit includes a first connection member located at outsides of the sidewalls and a second connection member connected to the reinforcement member. The first and second connection members are connected to each other to position the reinforcement member between the sidewalls and the lips. The reinforcement member is easily installed and replaced.
Abstract:
A ratchet mechanism of a bicycle hub includes a ring fixed in the hub. The ring has a tapered surface and a flange is formed in the inner periphery of the ring. A driving unit is located in the hub and has multiple first ratchet teeth extending axially therefrom. A passive unit is located in the tapered surface and corresponding to the driving unit. The passive unit has a passive seat which has a tapered outer face matched with the tapered surface. The passive seat further has a stop portion which is stopped by the flange in one direction. The passive seat has multiple second ratchet teeth engaged with the first ratchet teeth. A magnetic unit is located between the hub and the passive set, and two magnetic members which are magnetically repulsive to each other so as to linearly move the passive seat toward the driving portion.
Abstract:
A rim includes a first connection bridge, a second connection bridge and two walls connected to two sides of the first and second connection bridges. Multiple through holes are defined through the second connection bridge and multiple seats are defined in the first connection bridge and located corresponding to the through holes. Each seat has a recess facing the second connection bridge and an installation hole is defined through each of the seats. Multiple engaging members each have a passage and are respectively engaged with the installation holes. Each of the engaging members is matched with the recess and has a contact surface so that the head of the spoke is securely connected to contact surface. The connection between the spokes and the rim dispenses stress to the engaging members.
