Abstract: According to an aspect, there is provided a computer-implemented method of operating a visual data delivery system. The method comprises: processing (901) a sequence of 3-dimensional, 3D, images of a body to generate first 2-dimensional, 2D, image data representing a first sequence of 2D images of the body, wherein the 2D images are images of the body in a 2D image plane through the 3D images, and wherein an amount of data representing the first 2D image data is less than an amount of data representing the 3D images from which the first 2D image data is generated; sending (903) the first 2D image data to a display system for display of the first sequence of 2D images of the body by the display system; receiving (905) a 2D image plane adjustment indication from the display system, wherein the 2D image plane adjustment indication indicates a required rotation and/or translation of the 2D image plane; processing (907) the sequence of 3D images and/or a further sequence of 3D images to generate second 2D image data representing a second sequence of 2D images of the body, wherein the 2D images in the second sequence of 2D images are images of the body in the rotated and/or translated 2D image plane; and sending (909) the second 2D image data to the display system for display of the second sequence of 2D images of the body by the display system.

Abstract: Methods and systems for automated monitoring are described herein. In various embodiments, image data of an enclosed area captured by an imaging device (102), audio data captured from the enclosed area by a sound sensor (104), and odor data captured from the enclosed area by an odor sensor (106), may be obtained by a computing device (HO). Based on the image, audio, and odor data, a determination (400) of an activity taking place within the enclosed area may be made. In various embodiments, one or more objects or persons in the enclosed area may be identified by performing image processing on the image data. The determined activity may be compared with corresponding data and parameters previously stored in a rules and schedules database (120). Based on the comparison and a decision generated by the rules and schedules database, an action may be selected to be performed.

Abstract: A modular medical system employing a bedside patient monitor (20), a portable patient monitor (40), a monitor docking station (50), a therapy applicator (30) and a therapy docking station (60). In operation, the portable patient monitor (40) is docked to the bedside patient via the monitor docking station (50) whereby the bedside patient monitor (20) and the portable patient monitor (40) measure patient parameters (e.g., ECG, Sp O2, pulse rate, NIBP, Et CO2, etc.) upon the portable patient monitor (40) being coupled to a patient. Alternatively, the portable patient monitor (40) is docked to the therapy applicator (30) via the therapy docking station (60) whereby the therapy applicator (30) conditionally delivers the electrical therapy (e.g., defibrillation shock, synchronized conversion, transcutaneous pacing, etc.) to the patient upon the portable patient monitor (40) being coupled to the patient.

Abstract: A defibrillator with wireless communications with a patient monitor. The wireless communications transmits patient data collected by measurement modules between the defibrillator and the patient monitor using wireless nodes when a patient is under cardiac arrest. The transmitted data is integrated with the data already residing on each respective device using data integration modules, and then displayed to the code team in the patient's room on displays, thereby allowing every member of the code team to see data from both devices by reading just one of the displays. The integrated data is also associated with synchronized clocks between the two devices. The integrated data is then compiled into a single unified report comprising the data from both devices and attached to the patient's electronic health record located on a patient record database.

Abstract: A medical device (10), medical method and graphical user interface (GUI) (18) displaying data regarding measurement of a physiological parameter. A window (22) for the physiological parameter is displayed using a display device (20). The window (22) includes an indicator (24) identifying a measured value of the physiological parameter. In response to automatic trigger of measurement of the physiological parameter, the window (22) is updated to further include a first indicator (34) indicating measurement of the physiological parameter is ongoing. In response to manual trigger of measurement of the physiological parameter, the window (22) is updated to replace the indicator (24) identifying the measured value with a second indicator (36) indicating measurement of the physiological parameter is ongoing. The second indicator (36) is prominent relative to the first indicator (34).
