Abstract: Disclosed is a method of purifying boron nitride nanotubes through a simplified process. Specifically, the method includes preparing a starting solution containing boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs), a dispersant and a solvent, centrifuging the starting solution or allowing the starting solution to stand to collect a supernatant, adding an acid to the supernatant and filtering a resulting product.

Abstract: Provided is a method for preparing boron nitride nanotubes, the method including: injecting a boron-metal catalyst composite into a reaction chamber; injecting a nitrogen precursor into the reaction chamber; producing a decomposition product of the boron-metal catalyst composite in a gas state by irradiating the boron-metal catalyst composite with a carbon dioxide laser or a free electron laser; and forming boron nitride nanotubes by reacting the decomposition product of the boron-metal catalyst composite in the gas state with the nitrogen precursor.

Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid crystalline epoxy compound wherein an epoxy group is positioned at a side chain of the longer direction of a mesogen group and each of the mesogen group and the epoxy group is connected to the center of the molecular structure through a flexible linkage. Since the liquid crystalline epoxy compound includes an epoxy group positioned at a side chain of the longer direction of a mesogen group and each of the mesogen group and the epoxy group is connected to the center of the molecular structure through a flexible linkage, the interaction between the mesogens in a cured resin product occurs significantly without weakening even after curing, thereby improving the heat conductivity of the resin compound through the active heat transfer between the mesogens.
