An electronic apparatus includes a controller circuit being configured to detect a first input information, the first input information being information input in an input device by a user, create a first image and display the first image on a display device, the first image being an image created based on the first input information, obtain the first input information and the first image, detect, from the storage device, second input information being same as the first input information, determine a similarity degree between the first image created based on the first input information and a second image in association with the second input information detected from the storage device, and where the similarity degree between the first image and the second image is smaller than a threshold, output a result that the similarity degree is smaller than the threshold.

A multifunction peripheral includes: a facsimile communication section, an image memory, a job management section, a transfer instruction reception section, a password creation section, a data transfer control section, and a delete instruction reception section. When the delete instruction reception section has received a delete instruction, the job management section compares a password indicated by the delete instruction with a password created in correspondence with facsimile data of a fax job targeted for deletion by the delete instruction, and deletes the fax job indicated by the delete instruction under condition that the passwords agree with each other.

Provided is an image forming apparatus having a control circuit. The control circuit includes a standard application execution circuit, an apparatus control platform, and a standard application control circuit. The standard application execution circuit has the standard application execution service that executes a standard application. The apparatus control platform includes control service, apparatus control execution service, and an apparatus control management service. The control service controls hardware on an operating system. The apparatus control execution service executes the control service with an interface that is an executing procedure of the control service. The apparatus control management service instructs a call of the control service to the apparatus control execution service. The standard application control circuit manages a state of the standard application and provides an interface for using the hardware resources of the standard application execution service.

Provided is the image forming apparatus, image formation method, and recording medium, which make unnecessary a change of the function in the side of a whole apparatus control platform, when the addition (extension) of the function of application is needed. Image processing service I/F, device operation service I/F, and network communication service I/F of a platform service I/F part are independent, without cooperating, respectively. Then, image processing service, device operation service, and network communication service of each part controlling service are called. That is calling a control service providing part of each part controlling service corresponding to the request from the standard application, directly, by each control service call part.

A facsimile apparatus includes a data acquisition section, a timer section, an image processing section, a storage section, a fax transmission section, a reference time changing section, and a time modifying section. When the reference time changing section changes a reference time in the middle of fax transmission from the fax transmission section to a destination, the time modifying section standardizes times of day for use in generating time-stamp representations to be synthesized on all pieces of page data being subject to the fax transmission to the times of day in either the reference time before or after being changed. Thus, a facsimile apparatus as the destination obtains images of the pieces of page data to which their respective time-stamp representations indicating the transmission times of day having consistency with the reference time either before or after being changed are attached.

The electronic machine includes a panel unit, a storage device, a firmware-management unit, and a system-control unit. The storage device stores a plurality of firmware that is divided for each function, and that has version information to which package information is given that indicates a combination of latest versions of firmware that guarantees operation. The firmware-management unit has a latest version of a management table in which version information of the plurality of the latest versions of firmware, and package information that indicates a combination of the firmware are registered, and that is downloaded from an information-distribution server, and that based on an instruction to check versions of the firmware, checks whether or not version information of the respective firmware that is read from the storage device and version information that is registered in the management table match. The system-control unit instructs the firmware-management unit to check the versions and causes the check results of the firmware-management unit to be displayed on the panel unit. Moreover, when there is an instruction via the panel unit to download the latest version of the management table, the system-control unit sends a request to the information-distribution server for downloading the latest version of the management table, and when there is an instruction via the panel unit to perform a download based on the check results of the firmware-management unit, sends a request to the information-distribution server for a download.

A standard application service interface unit provides an interface for utilizing a standard application function from outside of a standard application execution unit. A platform service interface unit provides an interface for utilizing hardware resource from the outside of the device control platform. A standard function service enables the use of the standard application functions corresponding to the standard application service interface unit. An expanded function service enables the use of the hardware resource corresponding to the platform service interface unit. An expanded application management unit manages and executes expanded applications capable of calling the standard function service and the expanded function service.
