摘要： In a method of continuously manufacturing sheets of material such as wood chip board in which a bed of material is fed from one conveyor belt to another conveyor bed which forms part of a continuous press, in order to avoid problems caused by the discontinuity at the gaps between the two belts, a web of paper is fed onto the conveyor belt and caused to travel with the conveyor belts, the bed of material then disposed on the paper, permitting the paper to bridge the gap between the conveyor belts without disturbance of the bed of material. The paper, which is then pressed and intimately bonded to the bed of material when making the sheet of material, is subsequently ground off.

摘要： A continuous press has two rotatively driven endless conveyor belts forming opposed, substantially linear spans defining a pressing zone, press platens applying pressure through these traveling spans to work carried therebetween, and anti-friction means being interposed between the platens and the spans. Such a press is improved in that the anti-friction means is formed by a multiplicity of endless loops of rotatively unpowered roller chains forming a bed interposed between the platens and the belt spans, the roller chain spans extending longitudinally with respect to the belt spans and being transversely packed together, but each chain being individually free to travel independently with respect to the others and to the belt span. The chains are formed so as to not have a continuous link gap so that the overall path is free from transverse interspacing.

摘要： In a continuous press having two rotatably driven endless conveyor belts forming opposed, substantially linear spans defining a pressing zone with press platens applying pressure through the travelling spans to work carried therebetween with anti-friction roller means interposed between the platens and spans, the anti-friction roller means being endless loops of rotatably unpowered roller chains forming a bed interposed between the platens and the belt spans with the roller chain spans extending longitudinally with respect to the belt spans and being transversely packed together with each chain individually free to travel independently with respect to the others and the belt span wherein the chains are comprised of units of at least two equal diameter rollers installed in a cantilevered manner on roller pins, the roller pins being linked together by a chain of flat interposed links with adjacent rollers in the direction in which they run of the same length and having their outer end faces situated in a plane which forms the outer delimiting surface of the chain.

The device (100) is composed of a rigid support (3) that is securely arranged in a machine frame (1) and extends in a perpendicular position with respect to the strip of material, an inflatable pressure cushion (12) extending along the support (3), a less rigid supporting beam (13) arranged on the pressure cushion (12) with ends that are mounted in an articulating manner on the machine frame (1) around axes (22, 22) that are parallel to the strip of material, in addition to an application beam (25) placed on the supporting beam (13) in perpendicular position with respect to the strip of material (W) and running parallel to the surfaces thereof, whereby the application beam rests upon the strip of material (W) with the aid of a sliding surface. An application slit (30) that opens out onto the sliding surface (35) in placed in the vicinity thereof. Feed pipes for the treatment medium are arranged along the length of the application slit (30) and lead thereto. A support roller (10), running parallel to the application slot (30) and located opposite thereto, and a device that engages with the support roller (10) to adjust the gap (40) between the support roller (10) and the application beam (25) are provided on the other side of the strip of material (W).

摘要： A stratified layer, for the manufacture of sheets, is formed from finely divided particles of material exhibiting a size distribution such as chips, fibers or the like, especially for the manufacture of wood chip panels, by forming a stratified mat on a substantially horizontal advancing surface by spraying particles of the material thereon, in such a manner that the finest particles are at at least one surface of the mat, through imparting a motion parallel to the direction of advance of the surface to the particles which are falling, causing the motion of individual particles to differ depending on the coarseness thereof so that different particles follow different parabolic trajectories and by collecting and removing particles which fall at least approximately vertically during said spraying.
