    摘要: A laser processing apparatus includes a laser beam source, a focusing optical system for focusing a laser beam from the source as a processing laser beam to a surface of an article, an illuminating optical system using a laser beam of the same frequency as that of the processing laser beam as an illumination laser beam for illuminating the surface of the article, and a photographing device for detecting the illumination laser beam reflected from the article through the focusing optical system to thereby monitor a position to be processed. Since the laser beam of the illuminating optical system is of the same frequency as that of the processing beam chromatic aberration is prevented. This allows increased monitoring accuracy so that an article such as copper foil can be processed by a laser beam with an accuracy of 10 microns to monitor and correct a processing position.

    摘要: A method of making a magnetic recording and/or reproducing head having a head support and a head core. The head core is inserted in a slit defined in the head support and is retained in position on the head support by means of a fixing jig to hold the head core immovable relative to the head support. Thereafter, a glass frit for temporarily fixing the head core relative to the head support is fused by the application of a laser beam to partially connect the head core and the head support together. After the fixing jig has been removed and a glass frit has been mounted on the head support so as to cover the slit above the head core, the assembly is loaded into a heating furnace to fuse the glass frit thereby to permanently interlock the head core and the head support together.

    摘要: A laser beam optical system has a plurality of beam reflectors having respective reflecting faces and spacedly supported for rotation in one direction about a common axis which is either in alignment with or parallel to the path of travel of a laser beam emitted from a single beam oscillator. Each of the reflectors is also supported on a common drive shaft with the respective reflecting face inclined at a predetermined angle relative to the drive shaft so that the laser beam can impinge thereupon at an angle of incidence of 45.degree.. Those reflectors on the common drive shaft are so coordinated with each other that the reflectors can selectively deflect the laser beam, emitted from the single beam oscillator, towards corresponding condenser lenses during the rotation of the reflectors together with the drive shaft.
