摘要： The present invention provides a transformed silkworm which has a polynucleotide encoding human collagen within the genomic DNA and produces recombinant human collagen as a part of proteins in the cocoon or the silk gland; a process for producing recombinant human collagen by using this transformed silkworm; and a recombinant vector for use in the generation of the transformed silkworm. Since human collagen is collected from the cocoon discharged by this transformed silkworm or its silk gland, highly pure human collagen can be conveniently obtained in a large amount. Moreover, because the recombinant human collagen produced by the transformed silkworm is safe collagen which is free from any fear of the contamination with pathogens such as viruses or prions and exhibits no antigenicity toward humans. Thus, it can be utilized in various industrial fields including medicines, foods, cosmetics and the like.

摘要： Disclosed is a novel means that enables mass production of highly safe fibrinogen at low cost. The transgenic silkworm of the present invention expresses the fibrinogen subunit Aα, Bβ and γ chains in the silk gland cells and produces fibrinogen having coagulation activity in the cocoon filament. Preferably, the transgenic silkworm expresses the subunits in the middle silk gland cells and produces fibrinogen in the sericin layer of the cocoon filament. By recovering fibrinogen from the cocoon of the transgenic silkworm of the present invention, highly safe fibrinogen can be mass-produced at low cost.

摘要： High resolution observation of a sample at a high temperature above 1000° C. is accomplished by suppressing sample drift by heating over a short time and with small electric current. A heater envelope made of a ceramic having a carbon coating on the surface is attached around a heater surrounding the sample. The heater envelope is rotatable around pivot screws, and has an outer frame portion of a holder individually having slots capable of letting an FIB enter so that the sample mounting on the holder, as it is, may be milled with the FIB.

摘要： An image forming apparatus including a paper cassette loaded with a stack of papers and a paper stacking device for stacking papers carrying images thereon is disclosed. The apparatus has an upper casing part rotatable away from a lower casing part. When the upper casing part is rotated away from the lower casing part, the apparatus successfully prevents the upper casing part from interfering with a tray or similar paper stacking means and prevents papers stacked on the tray from dropping without having its overall length increased. The tray is arranged in the rear portion of the apparatus opposite to the front portion where a control panel is located, thereby reducing the widthwise dimension of the apparatus. Even in such a position, the tray allows papers stacked thereon to be easily picked up.

摘要： An oil filter includes a housing having a case and a cap detachably engaged with each other and a filter element detachably contained in the housing. An oil-draining hole is provided at a bottom portion of the case. The oil filter further includes a plug member for opening and closing the draining oil hole and a spring member for operating the plug member according to an engagement state of the case and the cap. At an intermediate condition of the engagement state of the case and the cap, the plug member moves to the cap side to open the oil-draining hole. Therefore, before changing the filter element, oil staying in the oil filter can be readily securely discharged to the outside.
