    摘要: A realtime monitor of an astronomical object such as a double star using speckle interferometry comprises a TV camera for picking up an image of a star which is formed by a telescope, first means for producing an incoherent still picture of the star on the basis of an output from the TV camea, second means for producing a power spectrum of the star by converting the incoherent still picture to a coherent image and then optically Fourier-transforming it, third means for adding the consecutively produced power spectra to obtain an average power spectrum, and fourth means for controlling first, second and third means and calculating a normalized average power spectrum of an object star through dividing the average power spectrum of the object star by that of a reference star.

The control unit 22 arranges in parallel two or more basic holograms selected from the plurality of basic holograms stored in the storage unit 21A, overlaps the focusing hologram with each of the basic holograms arranged in parallel to form the whole hologram, and presents the formed whole hologram to the spatial light modulator 20.

Each element processor PE includes: a constant generator 91A, outputting a propagation function value that is generated based on a coordinate value Z and an initial phase value P; a multiplier 92, multiplying the propagation function value and a luminance value I and outputting the product value; an adder/subtractor 93, performing addition/subtraction on the product value and a hologram time series signal PDin and outputting the sum/difference value; and a register 94, receiving, holding, and then outputting the sum/difference value as a hologram time series signal PDout. The hologram time series signal PDout, output from a register 94 of an element processor of a preceding stage that is cascade-connected, is input as the hologram time series signal PDin into an adder/subtractor 93 of an element processor of a subsequent stage.

Through a lens array 7 composed of a plurality of lenses disposed corresponding to each of the images, which are included in the object light, and a reducing optical system 9 and 10 for reducing the object light emitted from the lens array 7, the object light is made to irradiate a recording surface 11 along with a reference light; thereby interference light between the object light and the reference light is recorded on the recording surface 11.     摘要: Young's interferometer consisting of a single slit and a double slit member, and an analyzer are arranged along the axis of light to be measured. Parallel slits of the double slit member are provided with respective polarizers whose paralyzing directions are at .+-.45.degree. to the longitudinal direction of the parallel slits. The polarizing direction of the analyzer is set in parallel with the parallel slits. The incident light passes through Young's interferometer and the analyzer to form an interference fringe, which is detected by an image detector unit. An image analyzer unit produces an intensity profile of the interference fringe and determines the polarization state of the incident light, for instance, by comparing the produced intensity profile with conceivable profiles stored in advance.

    摘要: An optical digital holding apparatus of the present invention carries out functions of a flip-flop apparatus (RS flip-flop, D flip-flop etc.) which are one kind of electrical digital holding apparatus, and can be achieved by placing optical connecting wiring having a direct or indirect feedback circuit between multistage optical selectors having selector functions. The optical digital holding apparatus of the present invention includes multistage selectors which receive an aggregation of spatially distributed optical digital information signals propagating in a predetermined direction and bearing binary digital information and an optical control signal bearing binary digital information. These selectors selectively output a portion of an aggregation of the digital information signals received in accordance with a value of the digital information carried by the optical control signal. The optical digital holding apparatus also includes optical connection wiring for connecting an output optical signal of one of the selectors to an input optical signal of one of the other selectors.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a three-dimensional image displaying apparatus, or the like, that has a simple structure capable of displaying a high-quality reconstruction image by effectively making use of the focusing function of the observer's eyes. The three-dimensional image displaying apparatus comprises a spatial light modulation element, an illumination optical system, and a lens as a reconstruction image converting optical system. At least one of the bright point interval and initial phase values of the respective bright points constituting a target reconstruction image to be displayed is set such that peaks of the reconstruction light reaching a region, where the observation of reconstruction image obtained through diffraction of a specified order in the spatial light modulation element is permitted, are produced at different plural points on the back focal plane of the lens. As a result, a hologram capable of displaying the target reconstruction image is expressed by the spatial light modulation element. The amplitude or phase of the illumination light that enters the spatial light modulation element expressing the hologram is modulated by each pixel. The modulated light, that is, the reconstruction light is wavefront-converted by the lens and thereby the reconstruction image is formed. The observer, whose eye pupil is disposed close to the aperture portion of the mask, can observe a displayed reconstruction image through the aperture portion and a half mirror.
