摘要: A spectacle lens that can lower the slipperiness of a lens surface to an extent that allows an edging process by making without deteriorating the stain-proofing performance of the stain-proofing layer, when a stain-proofing layer is formed of two or more kinds of silane compounds including at least one or more kinds of fluorine-containing silane compounds, and as for the dynamic friction coefficient of lens surfaces defined by each of the two or more kinds of silane compounds as a single component, the highest value of the dynamic friction coefficients 1.4 times or more of the lowest value of the dynamic friction coefficients; and a manufacturing method thereof are provided.

摘要: Disclosed is a composition comprising(A) 10 to 60 parts by weight of a polybutylene glycol di(meth)acrylate represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## (B) 20 to 80 parts by weight of a specific urethane poly(meth)acrylate or epoxy poly(meth)acrylate,(C) 5 to 60 parts by weight of a specific mono(meth)acrylate, and(D) 0 to 60 parts by weight of a compound having at least one polymerizable double bond in the molecule,with the total amount of components (A), (B), (C) and (D) being 100 parts by weight. This composition is suitable for the making of plastic lenses because of its excellent properties such as high thermal resistance, high impact resistance, good dyeability, low water absorption and high surface accuracy.

摘要: The plastic lens has the hard coat layer on a plastic lens base material containing at least sulfur atom and the organic anti-reflection film on the hard coat layer and further has a primer layer between the plastic lens base material and the hard coat layer. The hard coat layer comprises metal oxide particulates at least containing titanium oxide with rutile-type crystal structure and an organic silicon compound expressed by general Formula: R1SiX13. The organic anti-reflection film comprises a coating composition at least containing an organic silicon compound expressed by general Formula: R2nR3 mSiX24-n-m and silica system particulates of 1 to 150 nm mean particle diameter and has a refractive index which is lower than that of that of the hard coat layer by 0.10 or more.

The plastic lens is composed of a plastic lens base material, a hard coating layer formed on the plastic lens base material, and an antireflection film formed on the hard coating layer, wherein the hard coating layer is one which is formed from a coating composition comprising inorganic oxide fine particles containing titanium oxide with a rutile-type crystallite and an organosilicon compound as a binder.

摘要: An adhesive tape which is to be arranged between a lens and at least one of a plurality of chucks in an edge-machining apparatus comprises an adhesive face for being in contact with the lens. A measurement of an adhesive strength of the adhesive face is 4 gf (0.0392 N) or more when a polyethylene terephthalate plate which has been subjected to a surface treatment with a fluorine-modified silicone parting agent is used as a test plate in an adhesive strength test method based on a 180°-peeling method as defined in JIS Z 0237 “adhesive tape/adhesive sheet test method”. A technique which can be used to edge the lens in which an antifouling layer is formed by using a fluorine-containing silane compound having an excellent antifouling effect is also provided.

摘要: A plastic lens includes: a plastic lens base material; a hard coat layer formed on the plastic lens base material; an organic antireflection film formed on the hard coat layer; and a primer layer between the plastic lens base material and the hard coat layer. The plastic lens base material contains at least a sulfur atom. The hard coat layer contains at least: fine metal oxide particles containing a titanium oxide having a rutile-type crystalline structure; and an organosilicon compound represented by a general formula of R1SiX13. The antireflection film contains a coating composition containing at least: an organosilicon compound represented by a general formula of XmR23−mSi—Y—SiR23−mXm; an epoxy group-containing organic compound containing one or more epoxy group in a molecule; and fine silica particles with average particle size of 1 to 150 nm, the antireflection film having a refractive index lower than that of the hard coat layer by 0.10 or more.
