摘要: Disclosed herein is a plastic lens which exhibits outstanding weather resistance and light resistance with a minimum of deteriorating effect on the organic antireflection thin film formed thereon. The plastic lens is composed of a plastic lens base material, a hard coating layer formed on the plastic lens base material, and an antireflection film formed on the hard coating layer, wherein the hard coating layer is one which is formed from a coating composition comprising inorganic oxide fine particles containing titanium oxide with a rutile-type crystallite and an organosilicon compound as a binder.

摘要: A plastic lens includes: a plastic lens base material; a hard coat layer formed on the plastic lens base material; an organic antireflection film formed on the hard coat layer; and a primer layer between the plastic lens base material and the hard coat layer. The plastic lens base material contains at least a sulfur atom. The hard coat layer contains at least: fine metal oxide particles containing a titanium oxide having a rutile-type crystalline structure; and an organosilicon compound represented by a general formula of R1SiX13. The antireflection film contains a coating composition containing at least: an organosilicon compound represented by a general formula of XmR23−mSi—Y—SiR23−mXm; an epoxy group-containing organic compound containing one or more epoxy group in a molecule; and fine silica particles with average particle size of 1 to 150 nm, the antireflection film having a refractive index lower than that of the hard coat layer by 0.10 or more.

摘要: A plastic lens includes: a plastic lens base material; a hard coat layer formed on the plastic lens base material; an organic antireflection film formed on the hard coat layer; and a primer layer between the plastic lens base material and the hard coat layer. The hard coat layer comprises metal oxide particulates at least containing titanium oxide with rutile-type crystal structure and an organic silicon compound expressed by general Formula: R1SiX13. The organic anti-reflection film comprises a coating composition at least containing an organic silicon compound expressed by general Formula: R2nR3 mSiX24-n-m and silica system particulates of 1 to 150 nm mean particle diameter and has a refractive index which is lower than that of that of the hard coat layer by 0.10 or more.

摘要: Disclosed is a composition comprising(A) 10 to 60 parts by weight of a polybutylene glycol di(meth)acrylate represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## (B) 20 to 80 parts by weight of a specific urethane poly(meth)acrylate or epoxy poly(meth)acrylate,(C) 5 to 60 parts by weight of a specific mono(meth)acrylate, and(D) 0 to 60 parts by weight of a compound having at least one polymerizable double bond in the molecule,with the total amount of components (A), (B), (C) and (D) being 100 parts by weight. This composition is suitable for the making of plastic lenses because of its excellent properties such as high thermal resistance, high impact resistance, good dyeability, low water absorption and high surface accuracy.

摘要: The present invention includes a plastic lens having a plastic lens base material, a primer layer formed on the plastic lens base material, and a hard coat layer formed on the primer layer, the hard coat layer being formed from a hard coat composition having (A) an inorganic fine particle having a particle diameter of 1 to 100 millimicrons, (B) an organic silicon compound expressed in terms of a specified Formula (1), (C) a multi-functional epoxy compound, and (D) a curing catalyst. Such a plastic lens is excellent in shock impact resistance by including the primer layer and also shows improvements in scratch resistance, water resistance, and permanence properties while keeping the coloring properties of the hard coat layer of a colorable type.

摘要: The present invention relates to a coating composition characterized in that an acetylacetonate having as the central metallic atom thereof Fe, Al, Sn or Ti, or a perchlorate, or a carboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof, and an acetylacetonate having as the central metallic atom thereof Li, Cu or Mn are incorporated in combination as curing catalysts; and to a composite structure characterized in that an antireflection film is provided on the surface of a coating film that is obtained from the above composition.According to the present invention, a coating film which is drastically improved in transparency, optical properties and durability can be obtained. Moreover, this coating film has both high adhesion to an antireflection film made from an inorganic material, and durability. Further, according to the present invention, the pot life of a coating liquid when preserved at room temperature can be prolonged to 3 weeks or longer.

摘要: Disclosed is a film-forming coating solution comprising a matrix and a fine particulate compound oxide composed of oxides of titanium, silicon and zirconium and/or aluminum. This film-forming coating solution can form a colorless and transparent film of high refractive index which is excellent in dyeing property and adhesion to the substrate. Also disclosed is a synthetic resin lens of high refractive index having a film (hard coat film) formed from the film-forming coating solution on the surface. This synthetic resin lens is free from interference fringe and has a reduced thickness.
