    摘要: The present invention provides an intermediate transfer recording medium which is used to form an image on a transfer-receiving member and a protective layer on the image to thereby impart durability to the image perfectly and which can simply transfer the protective layer to the image with high accuracy and also provides an image forming method. In the intermediate transfer recording medium (1) of the invention, a sheet substrate (4) provided with a resin layer (5) and a transparent sheet (2) provided with a receptor layer (3) are laminated on each other such that the resin layer (5) is peelable from the transparent sheet (2), wherein a portion of the transparent sheet (2) including the receptor layer (3) is provided with half-cut treatment (6). Using the intermediate transfer recording medium (1), a transfer image is formed on the receptor layer (3) and only the image-formed portion is retransferred to the transfer-receiving member to form an image. At this time, because a portion of the transparent sheet (2) is cut at the half-cut portion (6) as the boundary, forming a structure in which the transparent sheet (2) covers the image-formed portion and the transparent sheet functions as a uniform and strong protective layer, necessary durability is imparted perfectly to the image.

    摘要: Disclosed is an intermediate transfer recording medium for use in a method which comprises the steps of: forming an image using the intermediate transfer recording medium on an object; and forming a protective layer on the image. In this case, fastness properties can be fully imparted to the image, the protective layer can be transferred onto the image with high accuracy in a simple manner, blocking and the like attributable to the exposure of a pressure-sensitive adhesive do not take place, and the design and the fastness properties are excellent. An image forming method using the intermediate transfer recording medium is also disclosed. The intermediate transfer recording medium 1 comprises: a sheet substrate 4 provided with a resin layer 5; and a transparent sheet 2 provided with a receptive layer 3, the transparent sheet 2 provided with the receptive layer 3 having been put on top of the sheet substrate 4 provided with the resin layer 5 so that the resin layer 5 faces the transparent sheet 2 on its side remote from the receptive layer 3, the resin layer 5 being separable from the transparent sheet 2 to transfer the transparent sheet 2 provided with a receptive layer 3 onto an object, the transparent sheet 2 portion provided with the receptive layer 3 having been half cut (8) in a specific shape and in a predetermined width around the outer periphery of the region 7 to be transferred onto the object. A transfer image is formed on the receptive layer, and the portion with the image formed thereon is re-transferred onto an object to form an image on the object.

    摘要: Provided is two kind of thermal transfer sheets comprising a substrate and a white transfer layer, the white transfer layer being to be transferred onto an image-formed portion of an image-receiving sheet. In the one kind, white transfer layer includes a white ink layer containing a white pigment and/or a filler, and has a total light transmittance of 30 to 95% and a haze of 30 to 95% due to the white ink layer. In another kind, the white transfer layer includes a white ink layer and a peeling layer, the white ink layer containing a white pigment and/or a filler, the peeling layer laminated between the white ink layer and the substrate, and capable of causing a cohesive failure thereby converting into an irregular surface of a printed material through a transferring process. The present invention also provides printed materials by the using of the thermal transfer sheets described above and recording methods for producing of the printed materials. The printed material can be used as an electric-decorating display member.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for image formation using an intermediate transfer recording medium. An object of the present invention is to provide an intermediate transfer recording medium and a method for image formation which can yield a thermally transferred image possessing excellent various fastness properties even under severe service conditions, can transfer a protective layer onto an image on the object without transfer failure in an accurate and simple manner, and, in addition, can yield a highly lightfast image which is not deteriorated upon exposure to ultraviolet light. The intermediate transfer recording medium comprises: a sheet substrate provided with a resin layer; and a transparent sheet provided with a receptive layer, the sheet substrate provided with the resin layer having been put on top of the transparent sheet provided with the receptive layer so that the transfer sheet faces the resin layer. The transparent sheet including the receptive layer has been half cut, and the peel force necessary for separating the transparent sheet portion including the receptive layer from the resin layer to transfer the transparent sheet including the receptive layer onto an object is in the range of 5 to 100 gf/inch as measured by the 180-degree peel method according to JIS Z 0237.

    摘要: The present invention aims to solve a blocking problem of an intermediate transfer recording medium and to provide an intermediate transfer recording medium having excellent separability. The intermediate transfer recording medium comprises: a sheet substrate provided with a resin layer; and a transparent sheet provided with a receptive layer. The transparent sheet provided with the receptive layer has been put on top of the sheet substrate provided with the resin layer so that the resin layer faces the transparent sheet on its side remote from the receptive layer. The resin layer is separable from the transparent sheet to transfer the transparent sheet provided with the receptive layer onto an object.     摘要: A thermal transfer image receiving sheet is provided which causes none of offset of an antistatic agent, transfer of the antistatic agent onto a carrier roll of a thermal transfer printer, a lowering in whiteness of the thermal transfer image receiving sheet, and a remarkable lowering in coating strength under high humidity environment and possesses excellent and stable antistatic properties. The thermal transfer image receiving sheet comprises: a substrate sheet; a dye-receptive layer provided on at least one side of the substrate sheet; and a conductive layer as at least one layer provided between the substrate sheet and the receptive layer or as at least one layer provided on the substrate sheet in its side remote from the receptive layer. The conductive layer contains a conductive needle crystal. By virtue of the above constitution, the conductive layer possesses excellent adhesion to the substrate sheet and other layers and has high whiteness, and the thermal transfer image receiving sheet causes no change in properties, such as coating strength and the like, with environmental variations and possesses excellent antistatic properties.
