摘要: Provided is a sheet discharge apparatus including a plurality of stackers on which a sheet discharged from a conveyance passage is stacked, and a gate which changes a discharge direction of the sheet. The gate can move over a first changeover position to guide the sheet to one stacker, and a second changeover position to guide the sheet to the other stacker. When the gate is moved to the second changeover position, the sheet is guided to the other stacker through a bent guide passage. A pressing mechanism is disposed on an upstream side along a conveyance direction of the sheet from the gate. The pressing mechanism applies a pressure and gives a wavy shape to the sheet, and temporarily makes the sheet rigid as long as the gate is in the first position.

摘要: An apparatus for detecting ophthalmic diseases such as an inflammation in a patient's eye which includes means for focusing a linearly polarized laser beam at a selected spot in the eye. The light scattered from the eye is photoelectrically detected and converted into an electrical signal which is subsequently used to determine the protein concentration essential to ophthalmic disease detection in the patient's eye. The laser beam of linear polarization projected on the spot to be measured only contains substantially the same linear polarization component as that contained in the light scattered from the patient's eye. In the apparatus, light adjusting and/or regulating means are provided to adjust the quantity of light impinging on a detector or the intensity of the laser beam produced from the laser source.

摘要: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for measuring particles in a fluid by irradiating the fluid containing the particle with a laser beam and analyzing the laser light scattered by the particle to determine the characteristics of the particle. An elliptical laser beam is projected into a particle detection area in which the particles to be measured are caused to flow. The laser light scattered by the particle is received for photoelectric conversion into a time-series photoelectric signal in a direction along which the particle flows. The photoelectric signal is subjected to a moving average process to determine a time width during which the signal exceeds a predetermined level to cause the change in intensity of the scattered light. This change is recognized as a change in intensity caused by the passage of the particle through the particle detection area when the time width falls within a certain range.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a syringe with a needle and method of forming thereof. The syringe with the needle includes a needle tube having a needle tip to puncture a living body and a syringe. The syringe further includes a main body filled with a drug, a fixing section for fixing the needle tube in a state where the needle tip of the needle tube being protruded, and a connecting section at which the fixing section and the main body are connected. The connecting section is provided with a holding hole into which a proximal portion of the needle tube is inserted. The needle tube and the fixing section are fixed by forming at least a portion of the fixing section from a resin composed of essentially the same material as the syringe, after the proximal portion of the needle tube has been inserted into the holding hole.
