摘要： A cylinder block for an engine has a cylinder assembly having a plurality of cylinders, each corresponding to one of a plurality of pistons. A block body has an outer wall accommodating the cylinder assembly, a crankcase accommodating the crankshaft, and a plurality of partitions. The partitions divide the space in the crankcase into a plurality of crank chambers. The number of the crank chambers corresponds to the number of the cylinders. The outer wall, the crankcase, and the partitions are formed integrally. A partition through portion is formed in a predetermined one of the partitions to connect an adjacent pair of the crank chambers. The partition through portion opens toward the cylinders.

摘要： Disclosed is a power transmission apparatus to detect the deterioration state of a timing belt in use, thereby making it possible to detect at a high accuracy whether or not the timing belt reaches an exchanging time. The power transmission apparatus comprises a crankshaft pulley, an intake camshaft pulley, and a timing belt wound around the crankshaft pulley and the intake camshaft pulley. The timing belt contains a stress light emission material capable of emitting light when receiving an external force. The power transmission apparatus further comprises an optical sensor and an ECU. The optical sensor is disposed to measure light emitted from the timing belt. The ECU is operative to judge whether or not the timing belt is deteriorated and to judge that the timing belt reaches the exchanging time when the timing belt is judged to be deteriorated.

The external case (5) has an open end part that is bent inwardly with the external lid and the external case being disposed so that inner surfaces of the top wall and the bottom wall face each other, to hermetically close an accommodating space, formed by the external case and the external lid. The thickness of at least the circumferential wall of the external lid (4) is greater than the thickness of the external case (5). The circumferential wall of the external lid (4) extends substantially linearly toward the bottom wall of the external case (5), and the extending edge of the circumferential wall of the external lid (4) is buried in the gasket (8).

摘要： An electric double layer capacitor is provided with a cell, in which a pair of polarizable electrodes, which are impregnated with an electrolyte, are disposed in opposition on either side of a separator; wherein the polarizable electrodes are provided with collector electrodes, a peripheral portion of the cell is sealed by a sealing member composed of synthetic resin, and the sealing member is formed by abutting two case halves. A manufacturing method for the capacitor includes a process step of providing at least one long slit in the collector electrodes; a step of forming the case halves formed by insert molding on the collector electrodes and filling the slit, the case halves comprising a recess, one side of which extends in the lengthwise direction of the slit and, the cell being fitted into a portion inward from the slit; and a step of joining the case halves by abutting the case halves and applying ultrasonic vibration either in a perpendicular direction or a diagonal direction with respect to the lengthwise direction of the slit.

摘要： A solid electrolytic capacitor formed with a dielectric coating and a solid electrolyte layer successively formed on a surface of an anode body, wherein the solid electrolyte layer includes a conductive polymer containing at least a fluoroalkylnaphthalenesulfonate ion as a dopant. The conductive polymer can further contain a tetrahydronaphthalenesulfonate ion, a naphthalenesulfonate ion or a benzenesulfonate ion as the dopant. As a result, a solid electrolytic capacitor having a low ESR and a good heat resistance is provided.
