摘要: A thick film type thermal head produced by consecutively forming, on an insulator substrate, a heat-resistant layer, an electrode, a heating resistor and a protective layer, wherein the protective layer comprises an electrically insulating protective layer covering the heating resistor and that portion of the electrically insulating protective layer which corresponds to a medium comprises a heat-diffusing coating having a high thermal conductivity over the electrically insulating protective layer.

摘要: A thermal head obtained by calcining a mixed material comprising at least ruthenium oxide particles having a specific surface area of 10 to 40 m.sup.2 /g and a particle size of 1 .mu.m as the upper limit value of particle size distribution, glass fine particles and a dispersant which disperses these fine particles and disappears by calcining can reduce scattering of resistance values and give high image quality at thermal printing.

摘要: The first and second electrodes, to which a recording signal is to be applied, are printed to a desired pattern on an insulating substrate by, for example, a screen printing method. A heating resistor is formed by, for example, a screen printing method so as to be bridged over these first and second electrodes. A protective layer is formed so as to cover the first and second electrodes and heating resistor therewith. Each of the heating portions of the heating resistor is provided with one or a plurality of laser-made holes, and the resistance value of each heating portion of the heating resistor is regulated to a predetermined level on the basis of the number of the laser-made holes.

摘要: When initially routing a continuous web along a path, the web walks across the width of the path, and uneven tension occurs causing the web to break in some cases when printing tension is applied thereto. Further, uneven web tension is produced on the right and left of the web by excessive walk control resulting from an excessive deviation of the web from the target position of a walk controller, with the result that the web is crumpled and broken. These problems are solved by maintaining a web tension that is lower than the printing tension until the web position converges on the target position of the walk controller after loading of the web, thereby reducing the amount of correction by the walk controller and the amount of web lost in the preparatory phase before printing, with the result that excellent image quality free from crumple or breakdown is ensured.

摘要: An image forming apparatus is provided in which a misregistration of an image forming-position due to a tension, acting on a continuous recording medium, and a fluctuation thereof, is corrected with a low-cost construction to provide an image of high quality. A pair of recording medium speed detection devices are provided upstream and downstream of an image forming section, respectively, and a misregistration correction amount is calculated from a detected recording medium feed speed so as to correct the image forming position.

摘要: A facsimile apparatus has a lower structure and an upper structure which is swingable between a raised open position an a lowered close position about a pivot located at a lower part of the rear end portion of the apparatus. A thermal print head is fixed to the front end portion of the upper structure. A recording medium conveyor roller is fixed to the front end portion of the lower structure. A linear image sensor and an original sheet conveyor roller are fixed to a central portion of the lower structure. The recording medium is placed on the lower structure at a position between the thermal print head and the linear image sensor.

摘要: A thick film thermal printing head having a substrate, an insulating glaze layer formed on the substrate, a heating resistor formed into a straight elongated shape, a driver IC for controlling energization of the heating resistor, a plurality of first lead wires for connection between the heating resistor and the driver IC, a common electrode serving as an intermediate power supply point through which electric power is supplied to the heating resistor, and a plurality of second lead wires for connection between the heating resistor and the common electrode, the first and second lead wires are alternately disposed parallel to each other, at least the first lead wires, the second lead wires and the common electrode being formed on the glaze layer. The heating resistor is formed in the vicinity of an end surface of the substrate, and the lead wires, the common electrode and the driver IC and other components are suitably arranged to form a thick film thermal printing head structure having no insulating interlayer and no through holes at the connection between the lead wires and the common electrode, enabling simplification of the manufacture process and a reduction in the manufacture cost. It is also possible to improve the printing performance of a thermal transfer facsimile apparatus or thermal transfer printer as well as to reduce the size thereof by using the thick film thermal printing head of the present invention.
