    摘要: Technologies for determining a user's location by a mobile computing device include detecting, based on sensed inertial characteristics of the mobile computing device, that a user of the mobile computing device has taken a physical step in a direction. The mobile computing device determines a directional heading of the mobile computing device in the direction and a variation of an orientation of the mobile computing device relative to a previous orientation of the mobile computing device at a previous physical step of the user based on the sensed inertial characteristics. The mobile computing device further applies a Kalman filter to determine a heading of the user based on the determined directional heading of the mobile computing device and the variation of the orientation and determines an estimated location of the user based on the user's determined heading, an estimated step length of the user, and a previous location of the user at the previous physical step.

The method is particularly applicable to face-centered-cubic materials that undergo dynamic recovery when strain-hardened at room temperature. The UFG sample is then subjected to cryogenic drawing and finally to subcryogenic deformation.

    摘要: A servo compensation processor includes an input that receives samples of a waveform generated from a servo track, the servo track including servo data and synchronization symbols. A peak estimator estimates a first location of a peak amplitude of the waveform. A phase determiner determines a sampling phase based on a first number of the samples between one of the synchronization symbols and a first predetermined one of the samples. A compensator determines a compensation amount based on a compensation curve and the sampling phase. A location estimator determines a second location of the peak amplitude based on the first location and the compensation amount. A location determiner determines a center location of the servo track based on the second location.

    摘要: Systems and techniques relating to interpreting signals on a channel having an asymmetrical signal amplitude response are described. A described system includes an asymmetry correction circuit configured to receive an analog signal and to compensate for asymmetry in the received analog signal, a signal equalizer configured to receive an input signal responsive to an output of the asymmetry correction circuit and to generate an equalized signal, a discrete time sequence detector operable to examine the equalized signal, and a control circuit operable to provide a coefficient adjustment to the asymmetry correction circuit to affect asymmetry compensation based on an estimate of nonlinearity derived from the equalized signal and multiple reconstructed ideal channel output values. The reconstructed ideal channel output values can be derived from an output of the discrete time sequence detector and correspond to at least two different discrete times.
