    摘要： Provided is a clear aqueous ceramide composition comprising 1.0 to 5.0% by weight, based on the total composition, of a ceramide represented by formula (I): wherein R1 represents a hydrocarbon group having 9 to 17 carbon atoms; and R2 represents an acyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms which can contain a hydroxyl group, a long-chain fatty acid having 12 to 24 carbon atoms, a nonionic surface active agent, and water. The clear aqueous composition is useful as cosmetics, bath agents, hair-care products, external preparations for the skin, skin protective preparations, particularly medical external preparations for the treatment or protection of the skin, or a component making up these preparations.

    摘要： A keratin fiber strengthening agent comprising 0.001 to 20% by weight of at least one (2S,3R)-2-acylaminoalkane-1,3-diol represented by formula (I): wherein R1 represents a straight-chain alkyl group having 9 to 17 carbon atoms; and R2 represents an acyl group having 2 to 24 carbon atoms which may contain at least one hydroxy group or unsaturated bond is disclosed. A method for improving physical properties, such as breaking strength, of keratin fiber such as hair comprising applying the keratin fiber strengthening agent to keratin fiber by adhesion, coating or impregnation is also disclosed.

    摘要： A cool feeling composition having an excellent cool feeling is obtained by blending at least one cool feeling agent selected from the group consisting of l-menthol, l-isopulegol, 3-(l-menthoxy)propane-1,2-diol and p-menthane-3,8-diol with vanillyl butyl ether. In this cool feeling composition, vanillyl butyl ether is preferably used in an amount, on the weight basis, {fraction (1/1000)} to 2 times as much as l-menthol, or {fraction (1/1000)} to ½time as much as l-isopulegol, 3-(l-menthoxy)propane-1,2-diol and p-menthane-3,8-diol. The cool feeling composition is capable of imparting a long-lasting and strong cool feeling when used in cosmetics, toiletries, cataplasms, bath agents, pharmaceutical compositions, etc.

In particular, the present invention provides a composition for improving cooling sensation effect that is able to impart a cooling sensation effect and sustain that effect when used after washing the hair using a shampoo containing no cooling sensation substance or a shampoo containing only a small amount of cooling sensation substance.
