摘要: Two components can be positioned relative to each other and adhesively bonded together without any displacement resulting from contraction of the adhesive by forming on the first component 11 an annular protrusion 11A having its center at a point to be aligned. On the second component 12 is formed an annular groove 12A having its center at a corresponding point to be aligned. The width of the groove is significantly larger than the width of the protrusion. The protrusion is aligned within the groove and then adhesive is poured into the gaps 14 between the protrusion and the sides of the groove.

摘要: An image information detector of a photographic printer comprises a two-dimensional image sensor at a line sensor disposed near a film negative placed on a film carrier to receive and sense a light from a light source which has been transmitted through or refelected from the film negative. The entire image of the film negative is divided into a plurality of equally aligned picture elements by the two-dimensional image sensor or line sensor, which is driven by a driving circuit. Signals regarding image information of the divided picture elements in analog form are processed by a circuit provided with a signal processing unit and a signal memory.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a memory device includes a nonvolatile memory which stores data in units of a write unit includes cells, and a controller which controls the memory and partitions memory space of the memory. In response to a request to write write-data to the memory from a host, the controller requests the host to transmit a segment of the write-data with a specified size. The write-data segment has a size of an integral multiple of a size determined to allow for a set of the write-data segment and corresponding additional data to be the largest while smaller than the write unit. Before completion of processing a first command which requests access to a first partition, the controller accepts a second command which requests access to a second partition.

摘要: Provided is a photosensitive composition which can be cured with low energy consumption, even when a substance (such as a colorant) that attenuates or shades an illumination light is contained in a high concentration or even when the photosensitive composition is in the form of a thick film. Specifically provided is a photosensitive composition which comprises the following four components: (1) a radical initiator (A); (2) an acid generator (B) or a base generator (C); (3) a polymerizable substance (D); and (4) a colorant (E), a metal oxide powder (F), or a metal powder (G). Further, the photosensitive composition is characterized in that the radical initiator (A), the acid generator (B), and/or the base generator (C) generates an active species (H) through irradiation with an active ray of light; the active species (H) reacts the radical initiator (A), the acid generator (B), or the base generator (C) to form another species (I); and thus the polymerization of the polymerizable substance (D) by means of the active species (I) proceeds, said active species (H) or (I) being an acid or a base.

摘要: A multifunction IC card (MFC) has compatibility with a multimedia card, an SD card, etc. in that connector terminals (#1 through #13) are disposed on a card substrate (1) in two rows in a zigzag fashion, and realizes multifunction facilities in that a memory card unit (3) and an SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card unit (4) are respectively exclusively connected and mounted to predetermined terminals of the connector terminals (#1 through #13). The memory card unit (3) and the SIM card unit (4) are respectively separately provided with areas for storing secrete codes for security. Thus, one IC card is capable of implementing multifunction facilities different in security level. Owing to the adoption of a plural-column layout corresponding to a form typified by the zigzag fashion in an array of the connector terminals, a relatively simple structure can be adopted in a card slot, wherein the amounts of protrusion of slot terminals in a card slot are alternately changed in association with a zigzag section, and the slot terminals are disposed in a row in parallel as a whole.

摘要: For statically driving a liquid-crystal optical-modulation device, an alternating electric field produced by a drive signal is applied to a liquid crystal included therein. In a first period in which the alternating electric field has a first polarity, the drive signal is pulse-width modulated based on a first ON-voltage and a first OFF-voltage. In a second period in which the alternating electric field has a second polarity, the drive signal is pulse-width modulated based on a second ON-voltage and a second OFF-voltage.
