摘要: Among its several embodiments, the present invention provides an improved process for the preparation of tetrahydrobenzothiepine-1,1-dioxide compounds; the provision of a process for preparing a diastereomeric mixture of tetrahydrobenzothiepine-1,1-dioxide compounds from a single diastereomer of such compounds; the provision of a process for the preparation of 3-bromo-2-substituted propionaldehyde compounds; and the provision of a process for the preparation of 3-thio-2-substituted propionaldehyde compounds.

摘要: A process for preparing pharmaceutical micro-tablets comprises (a) preparing a tableting mix that comprises an ACE inhibitor, for example moexipril hydrochloride, and excipient ingredients that comprise one or more lubricants; and (b) compressing the tableting mix in a tablet press, to form micro-tablets having an average uncoated weight of about 1 to about 40 mg; wherein the process employs means for promoting release of the mirco-tablets from the tablet press, said release promoting means being unnecessary for otherwise similar standard tablets having an average uncoated weight greater than about 50 mg. A plurality of micro-tablets thus prepared, collectively comprising a therapeutically effective amount of the ACE inhibitor, can be filled into a pharmaceutically acceptable capsule shell to provide a dosage form.

摘要: A pharmaceutical composition is provided comprising a drug and a carrier medium, wherein the carrier medium comprisese (a) a matrix forming agent selected from the group consisting of hydroxyethylcelluloses, hydroxypropylcelluloses, hydroxypropylmethylcelluloses, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose phthalates, polyvinylpyrrolidones, polyethylene glycols, polyglycolized glycerides, cyclodextrins, carbomers and combinations thereof, and (b) a filler; and wherein the drug is hygroscopic and/or deliquescent and is dispersed in the carrier medium, and wherein the composition is a solid dispersion and is acceptably non-hygroscopic.
