    摘要: An apparatus and method for automatic translation of patent documents are provided. Translation knowledge customized for the patent domain is extracted and used. The method includes the steps of: extracting a number of technical terms from a patent document and assigning translated terms for the extracted technical terms; extracting expressions frequently used in patent documents, not in a document in a general domain, and constructing translated expressions; using the translation knowledge constructed in this way, applying a sentence pattern to extraordinarily long sentences in a patent document, dividing the sentence by recognition of parallel structure and syntax clues; and extracting translation units available for parsing and performing structure analysis.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for generating a translation knowledge server, which can generate a translation knowledge server based on translation knowledge collected in real time is provided. The apparatus for generating translation knowledge server may include: data collector which collects initial translation knowledge data; data analyzer which performs morphological analysis and syntactic analysis on the initial translation knowledge data received from the data collector and outputs analyzed data; and translation knowledge learning unit which learns real-time translation knowledge by determining target word for each domain from the analyzed data based on predetermined domain information or by determining a domain by automatic clustering. According to the present invention, it is possible to obtain translation knowledge by analyzing documents present in a web or provided by a user in real time and to improve the quality of translation by applying the obtained translation knowledge to a translation engine.

Further, the hybrid translation apparatus includes a pattern-based translation knowledge DB for using in the pattern-based translation; and a translation result combining unit for combining the first translation result and the second translation result to output a target language sentence.

    摘要: The present invention provides a Korean-English hybrid automatic translation method for providing translation from Korean to English, includes: performing a morpheme analysis and a syntactic analysis on a Korean input source text; segmenting the Korean input source text into at least two source text segments, based on the results of the morpheme analysis and the syntactic analysis; and generating a PBMT (pattern-based machine translation) translated text segment and a SMT (statistical machine translation) translated text segment with respect to each of the source text segments. Further, the method includes determining, as final translation result, one of the PBMT translated text segment and the SMT translated text segment with respect to each source text segment, based on predetermined weight information; and composing the translated text segments with respect to the source text segments of the Korean input source text into one English translated text by using the determined final translation results.
