摘要: A rotating shaft is supported by journal bearings that can support without contacting the rotating shaft itself. Then, one end of both shaft end portions of the rotating shaft has a main impeller installed and the other end is provided with a sub impeller. By utilizing a force being generated by rotation of the main impeller, liquid being pumped (fluid being pumped) is sucked in through a suction port and discharged through a discharge port. On the other hand, by utilizing a force being generated by rotation of the sub impeller, fluid is transported to the journal bearings, thereby having the journal bearings support the rotating shaft.

摘要: A compressor (30) for use in a refrigerator, which has a rotary shaft (33) supported by bearings (39 to 42) to be lubricated by a liquid refrigerant and is adapted to permit the rotary shaft 33 to continue rotating for a while after a liquid refrigerant pump (36) is stopped at, for example, a power failure, thereby preventing the bearings (39 to 42) from being damaged. To that end, the compressor (30) is further provided with a header (52) for storing a predetermined amount of a high-pressure liquid refrigerant, and with check valves (51, 54 and 56) for maintaining the internal pressure of this header (52) at a high pressure for a predetermined time period after a power failure occurs.

摘要: A compressor for use in a refrigerator, which has a rotary shaft supported by bearings to be lubricated by a liquid refrigerant and is adapted to permit the rotary shaft to continue rotating for a while after a liquid refrigerant pump is stopped at, for example, a power failure, thereby preventing the bearings from being damaged. To that end the compressor has a reservoir liquid tank for storing high pressure liquid refrigerant to be supplied to the bearing and a gas storage tank for storing high pressure gas. There is a valve system connected between the gas storage tank and the reservoir liquid tank which is operable upon a power failure to supply high pressure gas to the liquid storage tank.

摘要: A shaft seal having a high abrasion resistance is disclosed, by which the leakage of the gas from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side can be reduced. In the shaft seal, flexible leaves are multi-layered to form a ring shape. The shaft seal is mainly arranged around the rotation shaft of a gas turbine or the like. The relevant turbine comprises a casing, a compressor, a rotation shaft, moving blades attached to the rotation shaft, and stationary blades attached to the casing in a manner such that the stationary blades face the moving blades, wherein the shaft seals are provided between a plurality of stationary blades and the rotation shaft wherein the leaves of each shaft seal contact the rotation shaft. Under the rated operating conditions, the top ends of the leaves slightly separate from the surface of the rotation shaft due to the dynamic pressure generated by the rotation of the rotation shaft. When the turbine is not operated, the top ends of the leaves contact the rotation shaft again due to the elastic restoring force of the leaves.

摘要: In a sealing device for a rotary machine of the type that an annular groove is provided in an inner circumferential surface of a through-hole of a stationary member through which a rotary body supported rotatably by a bearing device extends, gap spaces between the rotary body and the both side portions of the stationary member on the opposite sides of the annular groove are sealed by seal rings, and a seal fluid feed hole for feeding a sealing fluid into the annular groove is provided in the stationary member; improvements are made in that a vibration suppressing movable ring is accommodated within the annular groove, the movable ring is mounted to the stationary member so as to be movable only in a radial direction so that an outside annular gap clearance may be formed between an outer circumferential surface of the movable ring and an inner circumferential surface of the annular groove and also an inside annular gap clearance may be formed between an inner circumferential surface of an inner hole of the movable ring and an outer circumferential surface of the rotary body which extends through the inner hole, the inside gap clearance is divided into a plurality of arcuate gap clearance sections, and the respective arcuate gap clearance sections a formed in a wedge-like shape that is gradually narrowed towards the downstream side in the direction of rotation of the rotary body.

摘要: The dry gas seal structure has a housing that houses a fluid in a supercritical state, a rotary shaft that penetrates the housing, rotation rings that rotate integrally with the rotary shaft, stationary rings that contact with the rotation rings when the rotary shaft is stopped and stationary positioned in a state in which sealing gaps are formed between the rotation rings and the stationary rings when the rotary shaft rotates, a circulating pipe path that supplies a portion of the fluid to inlet portions of the sealing gaps, a temperature-adjusting device that adjusts the temperature of the fluid flowing through the circulating pipe path, and a control unit that controls operation of the temperature-adjusting device so as to heat the inlet portions of the sealing gaps to a predetermined temperature before the rotary shaft is driven.
