摘要: A map data distribution server that is connected to a network and distributes map data via the network is provided. The map data distribution server holds first map data and second map data that is of a newer version than the first map data and holds a plurality of update data including an instruction to update the first map data for each of partitions of a given size on a map. The map data distribution server decides whether a predetermined condition is fulfilled upon receiving an update request to update the first map data in a first partition out of the partitions to the second map data from a terminal communicating with the map data distribution server via the network, selects one of the plurality of update data relevant to the first partition, based on the result of the decision, and transmits the selected update data to the terminal.

摘要: In the ultrasonic inspection method and equipment, a high-resolution and high-S/N-ratio inspection image can be speedily acquired with ease-of-operability. Inspection of the inside of the inspection target is performed by changing incident angle of the ultrasonic wave oscillated from the array-probe ultrasonic sensor. Then, while performing the inspection, the array-probe ultrasonic sensor is sequentially displaced from the position to the position via the position by using the displacement member. This displacement allows acquisition of inspection images on each position basis. Finally, the inspection images thus acquired are visualized as a processed image by adding or averaging the inspection images by shifting the images by displacement quantity of the array-probe ultrasonic sensor.

摘要: A bit rate converter for converting a first encoded animation image data to a second animation image data, having a different bit rate. The converter stores an assessment value indicating the importance level within each reproduction time interval with respect to the first animation image data. Second animation image data is generated by arithmetically determining the bit rate of the second animation image data on the basis of the bit rate information on the first animation image data and the assessment value indicating the importance level within a preselected time interval with respect to the first animation image data. Accordingly, a larger amount of code is preferentially allocated to the time interval having an assessment value of higher importance level.

摘要: A fan-shaped scanning flaw detecting apparatus which includes a probe provided with an ultrasonic wave transmitting-and-receiving array transducer arranged along a circular arc and an acoustic lens for converging and converting an ultrasonic beam transmitted/received by the array transducer into a substantially parallel beam. The apparatus also includes a scanning function section that sequentially switches the transmitting and receiving operation of a group of operative transducer elements of the array transducer so as to make the ultrasonic beam perform fan-shaped scanning. A picturizing processor section forms a sectional image of an object to be examined on the basis of an echo signal obtained from the object to be examined and a display section displays the sectional image. A position detecting section detects a position where the ultrasonic beam is incident to the object to be examined when the probe is moved along a surface of the object to be examined. Image information of a sectional image of the object to be examined under a running path of the probe is formed by the picturizing processor section on the basis of two types of information, a first type representing the position of the ultrasonic beam incident to the object to be examined, which is obtained from the position detecting section, and a second type of information representing a position and relection intensity of the reflection source inside the object to the be examined, which is obtained on the basis of a reflection signal of a transmitted ultrasonic pulse reflected by the reflection source. The sectional image information is then read and displayed by the display section.

摘要: A heat-resistant ultrasonic sensor forms a piezo-electric ceramics film with a thickness of 0.5 mm or smaller and a Curie point of 200° C. or higher on a flexible metal plate. A thin metal film that is an electrode is attached to a top surface of the piezo-electric ceramics film and a metal wire mesh covers the thin metal film and is attached to a top surface of the thin metal film. A core of a heat-resistant coaxial cable is connected to the metal wire mesh at a connection point. The heat-resistant coaxial cable is fixed to the thin metal plate with a metal fixing member that is a ground portion. An electric insulating cover is attached to the thin metal plate and covers the piezo-electric ceramics film, the thin metal film, the metal wire mesh, the connection point, the fixing member, and the core of the coaxial cable.

摘要: In order to electrically apply fluoride by means of iontophoresis on a tooth an intermittent direct current is made to flow through the tooth. More particularly, the intermittent direct current has a waveform whose leading edge immediately rises to a peak and which decreases exponentially in time. As a result electrochemical polarization may be avoided and the ratio of the current conduction time to the repetition period may be increased so that the uptake efficiency of fluoride by the tooth may be considerably improved in a smooth manner without the need of impressing an excessive current on the tooth. Therefore adverse effects on nerve systems may be avoided, a patient under treatment feels no pain and no unpleasant stimulus, and the tooth's substance may be so improved as to be free from dental caries or decay.
