    摘要: A device and method for seating orthodontic aligners over the dentition of a user includes a light-based device having a bite plate or mouthpiece, with light-emitting elements, for contacting the aligners. Instructions are provided for using of the light-based aligner seating device by placing the mouthpiece over the aligners, applying light radiation during a predetermined number of sessions throughout a predetermined treatment period, wherein the seating and the fit between the aligners and teeth are better than without use of the light-based device.

    摘要: An intra-oral orthodontic cooling pack device for providing a pain relief, numbing, and cooling effect to the gums and teeth. The intra-oral orthodontic cooling pack includes a plurality of chambers interconnected pivotally wherein the chambers each define an interior volume and can conform to a curved surface, such as an upper or lower gum line. A first attachment mechanism extends from a first end of the plurality of chambers and a second attachment mechanism extending from a second end of the plurality of chambers, wherein the first and second attachment mechanism removably secure the intra-oral orthodontic cooling pack to a support, such as a bracket found on orthodontic braces.

    摘要: A device for electrical stimulation of one or more components of the periodontal complex and surrounding tissue of a tooth, for uses such as reducing orthodontic pain and encouraging tooth movement, has electrodes of a rigid, electrically conductive material in a fixed spatial relationship configured for application to oral mucosa and attached gingiva adjacent to, and along a periodontal ligament of, a root structure of a single tooth. An electrical circuit is configured for electrical connection to the at least two electrodes. The electrical circuit has an output providing a subsensory electrical stimulus comprising a waveform in accordance with predetermined stimulation parameters. After the electrodes are applied to the oral mucosa and attached gingiva adjacent to, and along the periodontal ligament of, a root structure of the tooth, a switch, when activated, activates the electrical circuit to output the electrical stimulus through the at least two electrodes.
