    摘要: The invention is intended to reduce the number of parts constituting an image capturing system using a solid-state image sensor and reduce the size and cost of a mobile electronic appliance having camera functionality. An analog front end circuit for an image capturing system, which samples pixel readout signals input from a solid-state image sensor, amplifies the sampled signals up to a predetermined level, and converts the amplified signals into digital signals, is formed, together with a DSP for digital image processing and a CPU responsible for arithmetic processing and control for camera functionality such as auto focusing and register setting, in a semiconductor integrated circuit on a single semiconductor chip.

A video camera system capable of recording and reproducing long hours of image data by using a video camera having an ultra small size comparable to that of an 8 mm video cassette can be realized by using such a construction.

    摘要: A video camera is provided not only with means for receiving any general captured images but also with means for receiving images from any other video input source. The video camera is also provided with an image input arbitration section that captures, after arbitration, video data coming from these two input means, and stores the resulting data into a memory. As such, when the video input source is a video output terminal of a car navigation system, the screen of the car navigation system, i.e., map information, can be stored in a memory together with a user's captured image. When the video camera is used for monitoring, data capturing into a memory is also enabled when the video input source is a medium already carrying therein map image data, e.g., USB flash memory and SD card, and means for reading the map image data from the medium. The data in the memory is subjected to a process of compression and encoding as moving images so that the image of position information and the user's captured image can be processed as a set of moving images. This accordingly enables to provide a system and method for recording and reproducing a set of moving images of the combination of an image of position information and a user-captured image with no need for a complicated process.

    摘要: A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus equipped with an image sensor includes a camera portion having an A/D converter for converting a signal from an image sensor into a digital signal and a first digital processor for receiving an output of said A/D converter and for digitally processing thereof. A VTR portion of a helical scan type mounts at least two or more of magnetic heads for recording/reproducing a FM modulated luminance signal and a low band converted chrominance signal. A second digital processor processes a video signal of the VTR. A switching circuit is provided in a preceding state of said A/D converter. The signal from the image sensor, an external video signal and a reproduced signal from the magnetic heads are exchanged. The output of the A/D converter is inputted to the second digital processor, and a sampling clock of said A/D converter is exchanged to most profitable clock for the signal from said image sensor, the external video signal and the reproduced signal from the magnetic heads, respectively.

    摘要: A digital recording/reproducing video camera apparatus which externally receives analog video and audio signals as a standard video signal for data compression and recording.
