摘要： The invention relates to a method for inspecting quality and/or condition of an elongated composite member, which is a load bearing member of a rope of a hoisting apparatus, such as an elevator, or a precursor of such a load bearing member, the method comprising providing an elongated composite member; and changing the temperature of said elongated composite member by heating or cooling said elongated composite member via a flank thereof; and scanning said elongated composite member from a lateral side thereof with a thermal imaging device after said changing of the temperature; and creating thermographic images of said elongated composite member.

摘要： A rope storage unit includes a rope reel, formed by a rope wound in a spiral form and a support body provided with an inner space inside which the rope reel is positioned supported by the support body. The rope is a rod having a straight form when in rest state and elastically bendable away from the straight form, the rope being under substantial bending tension in the spiral form. The support body includes one or more support members delimiting the inner space and surrounding radially the rope reel. The outer rim of the rope reel radially compresses against the one or more support members as an effect of the bending tension. A method is provided for installing an elevator rope implementing the rope storage unit, as well as to a method for fabricating the rope storage unit.

摘要： An arrangement for guiding belt-shaped ropes of an elevator includes a plurality of belt-shaped ropes; and a rope wheel deck including a frame mounted on a structure of an elevator, a plurality of rope wheels for guiding ropes of the elevator, and plurality of bearings, wherein the rope wheels are cambered and mounted coaxially on the frame via the bearings such that they are rotatable relative to the frame as well as relative to each other, wherein only one belt-shaped rope passes around each of said rope wheels of the rope wheel deck. An elevator implements the arrangement for guiding belt-shaped ropes of an elevator.

摘要： A rope terminal assembly of a hoisting apparatus includes a first compression member having a first contact face and a second compression member having a second contact face. The compression members are placed such that their contact faces face each other and delimit between them a gap. A belt-shaped rope having a thermoplastic polymer coating forming the outer surface of the rope is placed in the gap, the contact faces of the compression members compressing against opposite wide sides of the belt-shaped rope. One or both of the compression members includes on the contact face thereof, and/or in proximity of the contact face thereof, one or more indentations, each indentation forming a cavity in the compression member which is in open connection with the gap and arranged to be empty when the thermoplastic polymer coating of the rope compressed by the contact face is solid, and to receive via said open connection thermoplastic polymer coating of the rope flowing from the gap pushed by the compression when the thermoplastic polymer coating melts. An elevator is provided with the rope terminal assembly.

An elevator includes the hoisting rope.
